I notice that a lot of the people I play with say between games that they are going to take a short break to make coffee. Then they come back and resume playing and suddenly they topscore.
This shows that coffee trivializes the game.
Something should be done about it. I'm not clear on what I want done but I'm going to complain until someone agrees with me.
In the mean time, I'm taking a break to make some tea.

Once a certain threshold is passed, coffee has no positive effect, and indeed can negatively impact the player if it is not available. It is quite likely you play with coffee fiends who are normally brilliant at this game, but need their fix in order to function normally.

I tend to have Doctor Pepper. 
after 3 cups, coffee makes me sleepy

depends on the amount of coffee and/or beer, sometimes can cause empty lobbies on return.
