http://meforums.biow...t=space hamster

I'm sure this was in the game long before I ever posted that, but for this one brief shining moment, I would like to claim total and complete credit. B)

Now if only we could name him...

Also I don't know if you have Tali on your team or not yet, but when she summons her attack drone she yells GO FOR THE OPTICS <name here, something like t'cheeka or something> GO FOR THE OPTICS!

No, net yet, but that's fantastic. Between the Space Hamster and all the nods in Dragon Age, 2009/early 2010 has been the era of Baldur's Gate tribute. I have no complaints.

Now we need to get Minsc into Mass Effect somehow. I feel he's like The Wolf in the Tarantino-verse (according to Tarantino, he's the one character who can appear in any film regardless of time/location/situation). I'd love a Space Ranger to go with my Space Hamster. ;-)

Someone at Bioware was *very* creative. They must have heard the story of how Richard Donner measured the audience "look away" factor in a gory scene to time the death of David Warner in "The Omen." Long story short, Donner went extra-slooooooow motion so that people covering their eyes would venture a peek only to see the very worst part of Warner's grisly death scene.

When you go to check out the Space Hamster, he cautiously peeks out and comes up to the glass. Right at the moment that you begin to feel vaguely disappointed that that's all there is, he makes the classic Baldur's gate II "beep!" and scurries back into his home. Awesome.

There's no question that Baldur's Gate is full of things that could be referred to in other Bioware games. Personally, I would love to get something Imoen related... so I could leave it in the lurch just as I did to her in Baldur's Gate 1. ;)
