^Why would you?

A chance at an MP experience from the same company that brought you ME3 MP, with apparently the same team, and the promise of extended support. What could possibly go wrong?

While the source is doubtable, if it's true, it sounds kind of good.

If done well, this would describe a game that combines all the good stuff from all of the three ME games into a new one with a new setting to explore.

So, if they get enough time to do it the way it should (mean look at EA), this may get to be something really good.

I just hope the guys designing the planets landscapes talk more to the guys designing the Mako, not that you have to do soooo much horrible 4WD again.

The only thing I don't like from this read is that you need Multiplayer funds to buy singleplayer stuff.

The MP and SP should not intertwine in ANY way. Please, don't do this. And if you do it anyeays, PLEASE stick to cosmetic stuff only.

Looking forward to it!

Didn't you learn from the ending of ME3 and from DA2?

It sounds exactly like ME3 with different verbiage, now if I saw a corresponding Official Trailer verifying said verbiage, then I might be interested.

I don't care if you love them or hate them - both are emotions that stretch way too far for a fictional race if you ask me.

The only thing about the next ME-Game is, that you or anybody else SHOULD NOT PREORDER IT.

Don't get me wrong - I don't say "Don't buy this game". Do it, if you think you like it and if you see from the reviews that it is what you imagined.

But don't throw funds at them and risk getting a half baked game again because EA forced them to release earlier.

Get it, if you think you'll like it, but get it AFTER release.

My answer was tailored to "QuarianMasterRace" - who...

This. Preordering is for rubes who like to enable big publishers' constant malfeasance.

Well it's better than the "We're traveling back in time and everything that came before is now irrelevant, but we have two Spocks so's'all'coo'." gimmick.

***

I wish Loyalty missions carried a certain weight to them, and had the potential to ****** off other crew members. Basically I wish they weren't "lvl 2 companion missions" and actually had reapercussions depending how they went.

***

"Multiplayer play will also earn you APEX funds (in-game currency), which can be used to purchase items and gear in the Single Player game."

interesting.

*Link to said survey or gtfo. This is fanfic.

Someone explain to me why some random survey on some random site* would be given to random people who may have zero interest in games and in particular, NME or the series as a whole. You don't think they would, you know, target their target audience?

Lemme spell it out for you: Bullshit.

Well I was making a joke...but were this the case, I would probably sell all my possessions in order to preorder a single copy for every individual quarian in the game and sell my body for use by biower employees.

I was fine with ME3's ending, in fact I'd daresay I liked the destroy ending post EC. I've never played DA2, but I don't know why so many people assume that because they hop on the cynical, groupthink, crying woe is everything bandwagon that theirs are the only opinions that matter.

Your condescending tone aside, I somewhat agree about the practice of preorders. The last game I actually preordered was GT4, which came out over a decade ago. Also, I've my doubts that we'll be included in this game beyond a cursory and sufficiently vauge codex entry (same with the geth) due to biower's incessant desire to pander to every minority's beloved choices instead of establishing a canonical narrative, but I accept that's merely my opinion. Frankly, If this is an accurate description of MEnext (of which I'm not even a little convinced), I likely won't get it until it drops to $20 and I tire of the new Star Wars Battlefront, simply because I think running away from the previous setting and narrative that I grew to like because of the possibility of upsetting butthurt "fans" is fuckin weak and uninspired. The gameplay itself sounds like 20 hours of plot and 60 hours of irrelevant "dungeon" crawls and finding macguffins, which I also don't find particularly appealing unless I can avoid being forced to do the latter via multiplayer.

Unless quarians are included....wherein all other logical concerns are superseded and you can refer to paragraph one of this post.

I liked this post because Gran Turismo is the best racing series on the planet.

SlowerThanDSL actually seems like real news...That actually got me a little interested.....those did seem like questions/explanations a company would be giving/ asking if they were about 1 year into development to see where their game would stand as of today..There were specifics in those questions.

You shouldn't.

Since my answer was for "QuarianMasterRace" I tailored the answer after his statement.

But I think to not preorder for obvious reasons is omnipersonal by now.

It has nothing to do with your personal stance for or against the Quarians, Turians, Geth, Asari, yourself, your mom, my mom, the pope...

If you liked the ending, fine - I almost envy you, because you can enjoy it. But this also is only secondary.

A sh*tload of stuff in ME3 says "I was rushed out". The ending is only one of many indicators for that.

And no, I do not hop on the bandwagon of cynical whiners. If I like a game, I say so. I do like ME3 actually, except for all the rushed stuff and the ending. The games mechanics are the best of the trilogy in my opinion.

But if you have Played DA:O and then Play DA2 you will very quickly see, that there is something horribly wrong.

All the depth of story - gone.

All the interesting Party members - gone.

All the returning people you encounter - botched.

The skill system - dumbed down.

The sidequests - shallow.

All that is in comparison of the two. If you play DA2as a standalone game without ever having experienced DA:O, it's an okay game. A bit shallow at times, but ok.

If you have seen, what the DA-Team can do in DA:O and then play DA2, you are hurting. Badly. And if you know that they spent only about half the time making DA2 in comparison to DA:O, you know why.

This is mostly due to the pressure and greed applied by the publisher, our dear friend EA.

What your concern about the Quarians is to me: I don't care, and I'm glad you say you were making a joke. I liked them in the ME trilogy, but I'll sacrifice their presence in the new game any day over a good, well fleshed out new setting, that has plenty of new stuff to discover - including new races.

The Quarians were fine, they added marvellously to the plot (which can be seen by all the fanboys/fangirls and also by all the haters out there) but if they aren't going to contribute well in the upcoming new setting, then I say "toss 'em out" and add something more valuable to the new scenario instead.

They will be back for sure in the next ME-Game playing in the Milky Way.

I'd do this with all "old" races including the humans if they don't work well in the new setting.

I do agree with you on the point, that running to a different galaxy to avoid "canonizing" an ending is cowardly. But if they work well with that choice, give us a whole new setting to explore and get the time by EA to make it the way it's meant to be, you will not hear my complain about that. This frenchise is loved and has a huge fanbase. Sooner or later the next game playing in this very galaxy will come, and so an edning of ME3 will be canonised, one way or the other. The question isn't IF, it's WHEN.

I am not really that concerned about the dungeon crawling - just go back to ME1 - you had that. Little (but good) story, lots of searching and delving. If they don't do so much level recycling like in ME1 and if the Mako and the landscapes actually fit together, it will work - it worked in ME1 as well even WITH said flaws.

THe problem appears to be "solved" by running away from it an abandoning an entire galaxy.

interesting.

Morel ike a reason not to touch the game with a 10' pole if this is true,.
