Save and Pause During Cutscenes AND Combat

I know there are reasons you don't allow saves during combat, they're not valid in my opinio. n. Allow SAVING progress DURING combat. Hearing about "we have auto saves throughout hard battles" or "we don't want you to save in a bad spot and ruin your game." Well I'd rather have the option to save anytime rather than NOT at all during combat. Not all scenarios auto save at good points. Having to start over a hard boss fight is not a challenge. It's annoying. Also, you want to prevent "cheating." Well, if i want to save b/c i didn't take any hits, then keep retrying to do this throughout the battle, that's my business as a player. I don't like that, it's not a challenge. The point is it should be up to us to do.

 

Also, there are so many times I am in the middle of a cutscene and I have something interrupt me. For goodness sakes, cutscenes have been in video games for over 20 years. It didn't take that long for anything with video playback to come up with a pause function. Cassette tapes and VCRs man!! I can pause my movie but not a cutscene? And lets make it simple, not pause like a DVD or bluray player does it. Just implement it video game style. Pressing start brings up the pause menu. X (on Xbox) skips the cutscene. It's that simple. It's 2015, time to allow this in video games.
