My memory may be faulty but it seems to me that when  you had maxed quantity on something in ME3MP (missiles, what have you) that you'd stop getting them in chests you'd buy and would only get things that weren't maxed.  Is my memory faulty on this?  I ask because I had assumed it would work similarly with the potions in DAIMP.   Max appears to be 255 and most of mine are maxed.  The only potions not maxed are pitch grenade, mighty offense, healing mist, healing potion and regen potion.  But when I buy mixed potions chests I continue to get all varieties despite the fact that a majority of these have nowhere to go.  So I'm essentially paying for nothing.  This seems wrong to me.

If it's like single player, items above 255 are recorded internally.

You can test this with a 255 potions- if you pop one and the count is still 255, then it has (but simply does not show) items over 255.

well, scheiss.  I thought I was so clever in maxing everything out to increase the likelihood of getting the kind I wanted.

Yep, just tested.

  • 255 Healing Potions.
  • Entered a Threatening game, played a bit sloppy.
  • Used two Healing Potions.
  • Inventory still stands at 255.

In ME3, if you got to 255 Medigel, Rockets, Ops or Thermal Clips packs, they would stop dropping.  However, all the other consummables like amps, ammos and armor mods would still drop regardless, but they would be reset to 255 after exiting.

You can however craft all the armor items and remove them from the loot list. However you'll have less space to buy large chests & salvage with, since armor takes up inventory.

In not sure this is actually true.

I have crafted all 152 armour sets and still have room for 142 weapon/accessory/upgrade items, with no inventory lock yet.

I think the lock trigger is 200 inventory items with armour not counting.

But happy to be corrected if the inventory limit has increased.

I know they mentioned increasing a while back, but I don't have a fresh account to fill with goods. . . I think. Need more testing.

There was a thread on the subject of inventory, now where was it...

Here we are:

http://forum.bioware...too-many-items/, and

http://forum.bioware...-inventory-cap/

ok, maybe inconclusive, there are different views in the thread...

And Amelia said this in December:

Hey everybody. You should see your inventory limit significantly increased today. We're going to look into making armors not count against your inventory space in the future if we get the time but for now we've given a big enough bump that it should absorb the space that crafted armors are taking up.

Yeah, and that's the last we've heard on the subject. No one's done hard investigating afterward.

If so, it's another change left out of documentation.

Having checked a few days ago I had 199 items at the 'lock' point excluding 152 armour sets.

If anyone who does not have all armours crafted also locks at 200 weapon/accessory/upgrade items,

then we know that armours were excluded from count as were promised.
