Or how?

I would have liked to see the next game start straight after the events of ME3. I wanted to see a galaxy struggling to rebuild.

That could make a pretty damned good setting, pity we won't get it (too many people annoyed when what we seen conflicts with their ME3 choices).

Why arent you asking why there are also Humans? And Turians and Salarians since we've also seen them in a teaser?

Because Humans, turians, and salarians  don't have a possible situation where they suffer from a sterility plague and have had most of their fertile females killed even before going into endgame

If the Ark Theory is right (which it probably is if the leak is true, which is also probably true), we build Ark ships in the Milky Way (One main hub and smaller ships) and go to Andromeda.

Right - we could theoretically have pretty much everyone.  I'm not sure if the Geth would want to make a new consensus, but it would be preferable to extinction.  Assuming the leak is true, which I have a sneaking suspicion it is.  I'm not for it, but there is the possibility that you could take pretty much every species in sufficient quantities to start over.  It still would be weaksauce and they would have to write in the Raloi somehow.

I'm pretty sure he wasnt talking about that. Read what he said again.

Have they made any suggestion as to why anyone would build those ships? If it happens before the existing trilogy when there's still an awful lot of the MIlky Way left to explore, then it makes little sense. If they do it after, when the galaxy is stretched to the limit just trying to surivive the aftermath, let alone rebuild, then it makes little sense. I could buy some probe ships being sent there, not a whole ark.

It could very well be sent during the Reaper invasion. This way, the passengers of the Ark are not affected by the endings.

Still a valid concern

Right, when they're throwing every resource they have at building the Crucible before the Reapers eat the galaxy, they're going to divert a massive amount of said resources to building ships using propulsion systems that don't exist, power supplies to keep said ships going and the crew alive for centuries on the complete shot in the dark that they might traverse the entirety of dark space to another galaxy that might have habitable planets that are both in range and not currently occupied.

Even Jor-El knew what planet he was aiming his son at.

Let's not forget they somehow keeping it a secret from the rest of the galaxy.

Guys, this is really going in circles. It all depends on whether new galaxy setting is indeed true and if it is, how the writers decide to go about it. What you do now is making up theories out of the thin air and tearing them apart. What's the point?

They can write a new Mass Effect game in Andromeda, unexplored section of Milky Way, known galaxy post-Reaper war, prequel set in the times of the first explorers like Jon Grissom... Every one of those settings can fail and every one can succeed.

Especially when both sides don't have any evidence to back their side. Once Bioware officially chimes in, then that'll change.

How many BSN'ers does it take to change a lightbulb?

I sincerely doubt E3's gonna pass without answering a few of the significant questions.

Lets hope this is the case. I am willing to wait, but this supposed leak has me anxious to know what the truth is. I try to go with the understanding that Bioware is simply not ready to reveal any details but it has been some time since Mass Effect 3.

I dunno.  I'm thinking 2015's going to be Dragon Age's year.  I'm thinking there won't be any significant news until winter.

Doesn't mean that it is not a valid point though. It's going to require a significant (even by ME standards) amount of handwaving and space magic to make it work.
