I'm constantly running into the inventory ceiling to the point of being able to open only 4 large chests before the EA storebot tells me to clear out some space.

Are most players saving their top purples and blue weapons?  How about low level purples with unique features, such as Soulkisser mace or Blizzard's Path stave.  Weaker weapons that can be fun to operate in Routine games (who doesn't like exploding soldiers?).

I try to save at least one of most of the Superior armor upgrades, always hoping for new armor schematics, but that by itself uses a lot of storage slots.

I have about 10 each of the 4 different superb runes, but really do I need even 2 each?  It's so painful to go through the joy a seeing a purple card only to obtain another spirit rune or level 8 'unique junk' weapon for the salvage trash heap.

Any consensus on when enough is enough?

For most weapons, I keep the best of each specific type, which I assume most people do. A few exceptions, since certain characters make better use of certain weapons. Most of the weapons I find, though, I know I'm never going to use.

I keep two of each armour upgrade that I consider useful. Mainly attribute bonuses, non-elemental resistances and fire resistance legs for mage.

I've had 5 of each superb rune for a while now. I'm at the point where I get superb runes more often than I get better weapons, so keeping two or three of each should definitely be enough if you're at a similar point.

If armours actually take up inventory space, though, no wonder I always fill up so fast. That'd be a serious wtf for biower. Consensus should be that we need more inventory space.

I just received the Mhemet's War Hammer, a Purple Unique Maul level 19 with 250 base damage.  I didn't even know this thing existed.  With a Superb Electric rune it shows 278 DPS.  I took it to solo Threatening against Demons and it truly underperformed for the stats.  Sundering has this thing beat;

Mhemet's War Hammer ==> to the trash heap.  Did a major purge of 25-30% of my entire inventory, purples and blues, all.

As far as my inv goes,

I trash all duplicate rings "expect purple ones". I don't think ability rings stack, and if u got two purp HoK rings why use two blues?

I keep all the weapons I think are cool, boon of the spoon as an example.

Armor upgrades....I really don't keep anything under lvl 15... You get so many low lvl upgrades when u open chest.

I can open 10~11 large chest before I hit cap.

For Runes and 'Uniques' at level 15 or below, definitely yes.
While I do have an inventory full of garbage, there is no reason to keep anything but the best weapon in its category (9 in total), save for staves, which you might want to have the best for each element.

I keep at max 2 superb runes of each type, and often just 1.

I don't keep low end purples or blues.

I do the same.  I could never get rid of boon of the spoon and use it from time-to-time on my Katari because it makes me laugh.  Also, if it's got a great name I grow irrationally fond of it.

I generally get rid of any weapons that I never touch, particularly if it's a dupe or if there's a weapon of the same elemental type in my inventory. The same holds true, perhaps even more so, for accessories. Keeping to that policy means I've never run into the inventory cap.

I am salvage happy, but that is because I need the cloth.  So I only keep the best weapons and will only keep runes if I have a newer weapon that needs one.

I keep the best weapon of each type (and the best staff of each element). One of each accessory of the highest quality I have. I aim for 2x each Superior and Master Rune and 2x of every armor upgrade (even the worthless ones). I don't have all the armors yet, but do have a majority of them with a couple classes completed.

I almost never buy more then 2 chests at once, because I don't save gold past that point.

This has been touched on many times, quite obvious that inventory space needs adjusting. Either by increasing the cap, or not counting armors, or changing the salvage process. Something like a new window that shows all new gear complete with a salvage all button, or 1 button to dump to trash, then salvage all button (like the SP shop screen with valuables, sell all)

Some tips for saving space for people near max'ed out where i take into consideration new dlc. Dont craft armor beyond what is necessary to get the top tier armor appearances you want. Google da3 mp armor appearance collection thread to help you pick desired appearance. Slot elemental resist upgrades into extra high tier armor of favorite op classes. Save at least one of each top armor upgrades especially cold resist for each of the three types of armor. Use or salvage all runes except 1-3 of each superb rune at most or else mostly lightning runes and a few spirit runes. Delete duplicate ability rings but NOT duplicate attribute rings (two life-drain rings stack).
