How did you get a Windows 7 with DirectX 10, when Windows 7 comes with DirectX 11?
Depending on where you ask in the system, 7 will report 10 AND 11. DxDiag will correctly report 11- most other diagnostic tools (including the NVIDIA Control Panel) will say 10 for some reason.
To OP's issue, as posted before, ensure you have Full Screen turned on. I'm using two screens on win-7 32-bit under nvidia, and I haven't had this issue (though I know what you're talking about- Spore STILL does this).

Vista 64 bit(current updates), DX10
ATI Radeon XFX 4850
Intel Core2 Quad 2.66ghz
running ME2 in fullscreen mode.
I run two Acer monitors I picked up a couple days ago, both using DVI inputs(no converters), and only disabling my second screen(by unchecking the "extend my desktop onto this monitor) keeps Mass Effect 2 from auto-minimizing. Even when I don't move the mouse at all. IE: I was watching the intro-video and wasn't even touching my mouse(centered it on screen first) and it minimized a few seconds into the video.
It's not a huge problem, it's just annoying as I'll be playing the game a lot and don't want my new monitor to go to waste.

Updating drivers doesn't seem to help. There is no cursor lag at all and it transitions over to my second monitor rather smoothly. I am already using a .BAT file to start the game with processor affinity to 1 core to fix stuttering issues, does anyone know of a command to maybe tell it which monitor to run on that I could include in the .BAT file? I tried to google something like this but no luck.

I play in windowed mode (no borders) and have no issues with it minimizing when I go to my second monitor. If you're playing in full screen then it should minimize when you click outside the game.
True, but the cursor shouldn't leave the game in the first place though? ...right?

The cursor shouldn't leave my good design, but this isn't the first game to do that on a full screen setting, making us multi-monitor users frustrated. The existence of a borderless windowed mode completely mitigates the issue unless your system is not up to the task of multitasking the game and your other apps. Blame the devs though... they could have coded a boundary for the mouse if they wanted... but there is no need for that in console games.. bear in mind that this is a port.
I have dual monitors (24 inch main at 1920x1200 and 22 inch secondary at 1680x1050). I play on full screen setting and my cursor doesn't leave the main monitor when I'm playing. It's got to be another issue.

Is anyone using any tcp/ip km like Synergy or InputDirector? Disable it.
If you're using dual monitor profile by Nvidia or ATI, disable it and use the Windows display screen to set up your dual monitors.
When you launch the game, click within the game to put it in focus before moving the mouse around.

Try to disable any background programs and see if the problem persist.
If the problem goes away, start one background program at a time, and see which one makes your mouse escape the fullscreen.

Good for you, but that is happening to me. After a while my mouse pointer shows up on the second monitor.
When I'm lucky it happens while I'm out exploring and I see the pointer show up before I click. When that happens I can just hit escape and that pulls the mouse back into the game. It happens once or twice an hour on average.
It's definitely a problem with the mouse suddenly showing up on the secondary monitor because the pointer will show up there with no warning.
I'll try running in borderless windowed mode. That's a good idea.

I'm not saying this issue isn't happening. The point of my post is that it's not caused just because you have dual monitors. It was an attempt to get people to look for a deeper issue rather than chasing a chimera.

My apologies.
I'm wondering if it's something you only see at lower resolutions. I'm running an older video card right now so I'm stuck at 1280x800. I also keep my mouse speed set high. A combination of the two might be required (or it might have nothing to do with either)
What makes it really hard to track down is that it doesn't always happen. I cant replicate it consistently.

already = always. For some reason edit isn't working.

Is there still no fix for this aside from disabling the secondary monitor?

lols cause he has a GTX 260 which is a DX 10 card. You cant run DX 11 with out running a DX 11 capable card like a RadonHD 5000 series or the new GTX 400's series.

Change the position of your second monitor. Right click on your desktop then click screen resolution. Now click on your second monitor and pull it down so you can't access this screen with keeping it activated.

I changed the resolution of the game (fullscreen) to match the exact resolution of my monitor it was on. This stopped my cursor from going off screen.
Hope this helps any future players.
Cheers
