A pity that you are unaware that the Inquisition tac system is dumbed down to the "never played a combat game before" level. Don't bother playing the previous two games, if you find the Inquisition combat acceptable. No disrespect but I suspect, from your PoV, that you will find the tactical combat of DA:O and DA2 to be very non-standard.
Your other complaints hit a main theme about Inquisition... basically, you are not alone with that analysis. And, interestingly enough, After five months of lousy hairstyles and PJ feedback, Bioware has yet to bother addressing these shortcomings. You would think that keeping your armour in Skyhold is an easy fix. Apparently it is not.
I may play DA:O(at least) for the sake of experiencing through the story as I believe it's where it all began in the Dragon Age world. I don't think the tactical combat will bother me if it's really to be very non-standard as you pointed. However, I shall reserve my judgement until I really get my hands on DA:O which I'm not sure when...
I'm actually waiting for hairstyle mods to be made available for DA:I but as I'm aware there is none right now so not sure if will I still have interest to play/revisit this game when more aesthetic design variety are made available either officially(Bioware) or through mods.
Also interestingly, I found a dated livestream of BIoware developer showcasing DA:I character creation http://www.escapistm...aracter-Creator. Notice how the developer showcased the male character creation and female qunari, which to me was an act to maybe cover the obvious shortcoming of lack of hairstyles?
@OP please don't mind my rant here about tactical games of old, or you playing them. Everyone has a right to play games he/she desires.
It's only up to you, and the reference is made just to explain certain images in my mind.
None taken
Elleria, I believe Vanth is being sarcastic.
That said, I find the suggestion that long hair is only suitable for female characters to be unnecessarily restrictive. Why can't a guy wear his hair long?
Prior to the 19th century, men were the peacocks of Western civilization. They wore their hair long (or wore long, elaborate wigs), wore cosmetics (and corsets!), and tottered around on high heels. Women typically wore long hair, too, but traditional female dress - a gown - was usually considered far simpler than the many-layered and much-ornamented look favored by men. Women's dresses were long, so no one would ever know if they were wearing heels or not (they usually were, but they were shorter heels than the male models).
Oddly enough, short hair on men was originally something of an early 19th century fad. Military styles became popular in civilian dress, and short hair along with it. Male hair and beard length increased again mid-century, but when WWI broke out in the early 20th century, long hair for men went out of fashion and it's never really regained its popularity.
So I don't see any reason why men can't have fabulous longer styles!
Thanks for the brief history of long hair for males. I'm not against males having long hair, what I really am hoping for is firstly, to have more varied hairstyles for both male and female, not half of the selections bald and shaved
Secondly, there should be some differences in hairstyles between male and female, for example braided hair for female, something like this:

And ponytails for both male and female, like this:

Fringe ponytail

And this high bun braided will make my female inquisitor have more authority and class
