I generally ignore Carnage, as I run him more as a weapons/melee platform along this route.

Fortification subject to change. Mattock is easy to upgrade, solid weapon, and long range.

What did you do, hit auto level up?
The first time you've made me laugh. Mark the date.
Too bad BLAST HARDCHEESE was taken
I'm rather surprised that on a forum like BSN, no one has taken up the mantle of TOUCH RUSTROD.
Too bad BLAST HARDCHEESE was taken
You could put a BSN spin on it and go with "BLAST SNAPCHEESE".
Why are you telling me to rape your krogan? your krogan is not rape-able. 3/10 wouldn't bang. (insert bill cosby joke here)
Your build doesn't take advantage of this character's abilities:
30% power damage > 15% shield rechrage on Fortification.
10% damage protection > power recharge on Fortification. (not needed since you only have 1 power that requires cooldown)
The true beauty of this character is to maximize power damage on your inferno grenades by stacking as many power damage bonuses as you can, then using Carnage to detonate. Recharge time is not as important because you only have 1 power that requires charging as mentioned earlier.
Fixed Sexier Krgoan version....

Yes, the reegar makes much more sense since it removes shields fast so you can throw your grenades and carnage. The wraith is better because you aren't limited to the circle range during hack objective.
Try this if you have bad weapons: http://kalence.drupa...34O42364!AAAB3G
He's a Krogan, not a suit-rat. Any Krogan caught with a puny pistol or SMG needs to have his quads become a mono.

I like that pretty well if your manifest is underwhelming.
Disrupter round plus carnage will give you a tech burst that should help with shields and carnage and inferno nades will deal with armor. Most small stuff you can melee the **** out of to get your rage up, and I like a charge based weapon with melee because it can save you if you want to do something stupid ahem I mean Krogan like go beat a group of phantoms to death with your bare hands. No build does everything well but this is pretty decent IMO for someone getting started. If you didn't like melee I would probably throw in health and shields fitness and go with a decent weapon with AP ammo.

... anyone who feels the need to put a Reegar on a Krogan, any Krogan, will be exiled to a Pyjack re-education centre!
I'm starting to venture into gold matches, and I'd like to know if my Krogan is any good for it, or if I'm under equipped.
For now I'm having my ass kicked, but I don't know if it's a matter of evolving my weapons or just getting gud :/
I'm surprised that no one has asked this - do you have grenade gear? Whether or not you do will makes for very different builds on this guy.
I thought I was going to be the first to have to recommend a full melee build, but I'm glad you beat me to it. The overall lack of melee-focused recommendations surprises me. He's a Krogan. Full melee + Omniblade + Pink Armour should be regarded as a starting point on all characters. Rarrrrr!!!!!
This is Shampoohorn's Soldier recommendation from his Krogan melee guide. I can't come up with anything better -

In addition to what marksmad said about using Carnage, it can also come in very handy off-host to set up easy headshots with the Graal, while the enemy are outside melee range.
Krogans are supposed to go on the rampage. I'll happily suffer the indignity of the occasional sync-kill if I'm right in the thick of the action. Also, Shotgun only or he's not a Krogan Soldier. The Striker is acceptable but not optimal.
Krogans with Rage are actually more survivable than most people think. The DR from melee and the Rage bonus makes up for the loss on health and shields and makes cyclonics even more effective. It's simply about knowing the few times that it might not be a good idea to melee stuff and learning how to completely ignore that logic and still stay alive. ![]()
Melee Krogan is definitely the best Krogan.

I would have recommended a melee build, but I got the impression the OP was looking for tweaks to his build, not a completely different build.
Anyway, my favorite melee build is similar to what you linked, except with the GPS if off-host, Graal if on-host, and I go to R5 in the passive for the grenade power damage and only R3 in Carnage.
I also like this build, which lets me switch between shooting and melee play styles whenever I want. It's not really optimized for anything, but it's fun and easy. The Falcon is a very good melee weapon, because its stagger makes closing the gap very easy, and it really helps you avoid getting gutted by Phantoms.

While I agree that the Acolyte is an abomination, WTF makes you think we condone that wussy stripper pistol? Our weapons fire big bullets, cook people alive and painfully melt faces. Also, are you telling me that there's something wrong with a krogan holding a Blood Pack Punisher or an Executioner? They both fire big ass bullets that murderize things.

The so-called "wussy strippers" did not get kicked off their planet by a bunch of toasters.

This. With low level weapons, you will have a lot more fun with a melee build. That's what being a Krogan is all about!
MRAAAAWR!
If I want a melee Krogan I'll use the warlord or vanguard, the soldier is my weapons class Krogan (for variety)
I wasn't being (particularly) critical of the non-melee suggestions, just surprised. If I was going to skip a Krogan's melee options I might think about doing it on the Adept. But only for a minute or two.
Am I also to assume that your standard Krogan Sentinel isn't specced for melee? Inconceivable!!! Heresy!!!!! PYJACKERY!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though, I'm all for variety, but I can't pass up the fact that the Krogan Soldier deals more melee damage than any of the others, if specced and played right, and the fact that it's a little riskier doing so makes it all the more satisfying.

Exactly! Also, I forgot to mention... you don't need to use Cyclonics on a Krogan melee build. Honestly, I think an Adrenaline Mod works better on some maps. You can take out a couple of enemies and get back into cover to regen your shields quickly instead of just standing out in the open getting shot at. An alternate option for people who may be low on Cyclonics (as people with spare manifests frequently are).
