I can understand the disappointment of crushing on someone only to find out they aren't interested. That, I can sympathize with. But this:

"Banging her was my goal from beginning, everything was going so well with her, and for what? .... I hate Cassandra, and she hated me after all the time I ignored her. ... I hope it's not to late to make out with Cassandra... Seducing a lesbo Elf with male character would be even more interesting, and how about threesome? "


I can really tell how much you respect these women... <_<

 

 

 

Edit: This post is getting a lot of attention and to be fair, I wanted to mention that I didn't stay angry. I say in a later post: "You're right. It is a game, and the characters aren't real, and the whole thing can be played as a means by which to virtually play out a fantasy. I will continue to be disappointed that you don't seem interested in these characters story outside your ability to see a sex scene with them, but I will retract being offended that you might treat them differently than you might treat real people."

This actually sounds like sleeping with Sera was OP's only goal. Like, the only reason to play Inquisition. Priorities I guess...

At first, I was with him. He said "I found her personality and actions very likable, although silly at times,". So he thinks she's attractive and fun and likes her for who she is, right? Fair enough. Except, no. He played this game to sleep with someone, even if he has to sleep with someone he hates. What a charmer.

So, when I begin to play any game, I try not to read any guides beforehand and figure things out on my own. I did see a list of companions beforehand, though, and immediately was attracted to Sera, and decided that I'll definetely want to romance her. I started as a male...

 

After I first met her, I was not disappoint. I found her personality and actions very likable, although silly at times, and tried to gain her approval through out like 80% of the game, disregarding approval of any other characters with romance options. I even conscripted mages against my wishes just to gain Sera approval. When I was nearing the finale, I became suspicious, because I sided with Sera all the time, but still couldn't romance her. So I looked in the guides and boom... she's 100% lesbo. What. the. heck?

 

Banging her was my goal from beginning, everything was going so well with her, and for what? Couldn't we at least be hinted in the beginning that she's a lesbo? Dorian, for example, almost immediately came out of closet, and Bull happily offered his ass to me in no time (I politely declined because I don't want gay inquisitor), but Sera was a hard nut to crack, or so I though, so I patiently waited, mission after mission, that she would succumb to my charms, and boom, no Elven ***** for you. You can't imagine how disappointed I was. I hate Cassandra, and she hated me after all the time I ignored her. Josie? Well, she's nice, but I didn't exactly tried to get her to like me. I had all stakes on Sera. And I got 120 hours of gameplay, so replaying is not an option, I don't have so much time on my hands.

 

How could you do this Bioware? Why didn't you make this clear from the beginning? Arghh, so pissed! I hope it's not to late to make out with Cassandra... even though she hated my decisions alot through out the game.

 

P.S. Seducing a lesbo Elf with male character would be even more interesting, and how about threesome? Now that's a missed opportunity, Bioware.

Cmon, I'm just not really serious about those in-game relationship, I just think that a bed scene is a must for a canon story in Bioware RPG. Why I really pissed is because Cassie and Josie (the only 2 options left) disapproved me alot and I'm afraid I won't have enough approval to take either of them, which could result in a walkthrough without romance at all. And as far as I know, romancing influence the ending a bit. so yeah, I'm pissed.

And no, it wasn't pretty clear. For me it was obvious she is not interested right NOW, and she doesn't mind woman's company, but that doesn't necessarily mean she cannot be attained through approvals and dedication to her, ok?. You can flirt with her, and she does gradually melt and become softer with you, so don't you think it's reasonable to hope? That's how you get companions in bed in Bioware games - approvals and dedication, and personal quests of course.

 

Oh, it's not to do with morals.  Just disappointed you didn't take the opportunity to use Sera lingo, that's all ;)  As for the rest, eh, I guess I just picked up on it early that it was gonna be a no go.

I find it incredible (and disgusting) that the OP is comfortable enough in his homophobia to devote an entire thread on the BSN to it. C'mon Andrew256, put some effort and try to hide your hate speech with phrases like "I don't know why, but I just don't get Sera" or "If only they changed 'certain aspects' of her character I'd like her better" or something else along those lines.
Everyone will still see it for what it is, disgusting hate speech, but at least it show that you put some effort into posts. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you're not a fan of Krem either yeah?

To be honest, I thought she was Bisexual. And flirtatious dialogues didn't help either. I just couldn't imagine that Bioware would deny male character her romance option. That's just unreasonable, giving that romance is serious business in Bioware games.

 

The turn down is friendly but clear.

 

And you don't expect BioWare to deny you any female character to bang? ok.

Well, Sera's just not into you, and that's perfectly reasonable because romance is a serious business in BioWare games.

Here I think is the point where someone sits you down with a field guide and explains the difference between being hard to get, and just plain uninterested. Cassandra is holding out for a meaningful romance. Sera is veering between "yuck!", and "dude, we both like GIRLS"

On a more helpful note, Josie doesn't have an approval counter. However I believe once you've done both Adamant and Halamshiral you can no longer start romances (do correct me if I'm wrong please)
