There is Dorian, Iron Bull. Cassandra, Vivienne and Josephine. I haven't played Inquisition so correct me if I'm wrong.
Vivienne isn't romanceable by anyone.

Ok, you all need to stop this troll accusations. People here seems to regard DA:I characters as real people with feelings, which I personally think is a trait of a younger gamers, since I was like that also... Ok, now you think I'm trolling again...Fine, points been made and I'm satisfied with the answers (kind of). Let's bring this thread to a swift closure.
Yet it's okay to be angered cause the pixel character of your dreams won't put out?
The hypocrisy is strong in this one.
Because they are. The game is spectacle and they are actors.
Fair enough. You're right. It is a game, and the characters aren't real, and the whole thing can be played as a means by which to virtually play out a fantasy. I will continue to be disappointed that you don't seem interested in these characters story outside your ability to see a sex scene with them, but I will retract being offended that you might treat them differently than you might treat real people.

I have a solution if you don't mind playing the game again.
Make a female character. Explanation? "I don't want to stare a guy's ass while I play the game."
Romance Sera.
Lesbian sex scene.
Done.
Vivienne isn't romanceable by anyone.
I stand corrected then.

Have yet to complete a DA:O playthrough with Morrigan romanced, tbh (I think my PS3 doesn't like me romancing her for some reason
). Besides, my canon playthrough was as a m!Aeducan and I felt that romancing anyone as a dwarf would be..... odd. My 4th playthrough was as a f!Brosca, so similar reasoning behind why that playthrough was a nomance too. My 5th playthrough (human-hating Tabris) was different in that neither Morrigan nor Leliana fit with his personality (Leliana left the group, tbh) and since he was straight, that meant nomance.
Technically, I've romanced Morrigan twice, but my first playthrough I romanced her in (m!Cousland) was deleted due to the fact that I had multiple issues with it to begin with before I ended up losing 4 hours of game-time, and the second playthrough I romanced her in was lost when my PS3 got stuck in a File Restore Loop and the only fix resulted in all my data being deleted. Still trying for it, though.....
As for the troll accusations.... you're far from the first to complain about Sera's orientation, and I highly, highly doubt you'll be the last. The thing is, this topic has been beaten to death and beyond to the point that anyone who brings it up is automatically assumed to be a troll. Your reasoning behind your stance doesn't help matters at all- in fact, it makes things worse for you.
Besides, headcanon can do wonders for your canon playthrough.
Stupid thread is stupid.

Agreed.
Lets start off the closure of this thread with some fun facts.
Thicker eyebrows make you look younger whereas thinner eyebrows make you look older. *nods*
You don't do Bull. Bull does you.

Yes. Hence "Bull does you."
Had to make it clear to those who have not been ridden by the Bull. ![]()
Andrew. I don't know what you're like as a person.
However when I read opening posts like the one you produced, the below is what goes through my head.
Tedious Romance Demand Threads In A Nutshell:
I just can't get over it.
My hetro normative sensibilities have been inflicted with the ravenous beast known as exclusivity.
Inclusive to everyone but excluding me! Oh how my world has been sabotaged with this great travesty of a game that refuses to cater to me and only me!
Oh how my bright and fantastic delirium has been butchered by the mighty hounds of social justice. What unfathomable depths of depravity have we reached such that my views are being thrown by the wayside.
The world that fans such as myself have helped shape has been torn asunder and now all that remains is the great wall of solitude.
If I cannot choose the paramore that I want then may hell itself flay the team behind abomination with scorching flares of castigation.
Oh my delicate pride has been destroyed. How I may never know the fruits of this one's love. Not the love of a real person, but the dream that lies within my soul. A yearning for something more. Something pure. Something beyond this woeful existence. Yet people deride me as bigoted for not including other orientations into my fragile world view.
All I have left are these lamentations. Dreams of what could never be. Only modding can fix the hole within my heart. For I shall never know the joy that I was promised. The sensual intimate experience that life would not grant me and now your game has joined reality in a quest to rid me of true love. Yet I am mocked for expressing the most basic and most primal of desires. Am I not driven to entropy with this spiritual void that has befallen me? For all creation has turned against me. I feel not the magic. I feel not the arcane and elemental powers that be gracing me with my fantasy!
BioWare. Fix this issue and I will forever be by your side, singing songs of how you fixed my Inquisition. All I want is to romance this character as my chosen sex?
hahahahahhahahahahahahaah! omg, i'm still laughing!
This was absolutely priceless!
This was fricking hilarious! And you still ask why I absolutely want to make a sex scene part of my canon play-through? Because scenes like that are priceless. Still not riding the bull though...

I'm totally OK with her orientation. I'm upset I didn't know that, and that I can't crush mountains and dry oceans to prove my love for her... well, not mine, but the inquisitor's love. Btw, Sera DLC, if there ever was one, would make me become like "shut up and take my money".

Very poetic. I approve
Oh, wait, it's about me, right? Noooooo!
Sera is a pretty thing though. I mean, it wasn't so hard for Bioware to record several more dialogues and make her officially bisexual. They could also made Dorian bisexual. Just as they did Bull. That would satisfy all tastes and everyone wins.

No.
No, no, no, you got it all wrong, OP! Bioware didn't make Sera gay to punish straight people; they made Sera gay and Cassandra straight in order to punish lesbians! Get it right!
lol
Sadly there is truth to it.

I'm glad it happened. Wouldn't prefer it the other way around. Blackwall? Hmm....

ikr? Josephine's reactions were the best! ![]()
Still, don't knock it till you've tried it. No one's forcing you to play as a guy Inquisitor (I frequently play as a female character and I'm a *straight guy myself).
EDIT: I understand your reasoning for preferring sex scenes in your canon, but just because it doesn't happen in-game doesn't mean it doesn't happen at all. I mean, Solas' romance has no sex scenes, but you could easily headcanon that they did it if you choose to romance him. It's not like Seb's chaste marriage in DA2, where we know for a fact that nothing happens between them. But whatever, different strokes for different folks.
I'm totally OK with her orientation. I'm upset I didn't know that, and that I can't crush mountains and dry oceans to prove my love for her... well, not mine, but the inquisitor's love. Btw, Sera DLC, if there ever was one, would make me become like "shut up and take my money".
Still, people have complained again and again about Sera, so creating this thread wasn't really a good idea. Granted, you might not have known that, but it doesn't seem to be a mitigating factor at all.
As for not knowing Sera's orientation.... tbh, I wouldn't have known Krem was trans if I hadn't picked the 'Why pretend to be a man?' line in the Chargers scene (I honestly thought that I was given the chance to jokingly bash on Krem like IB does), not to mention that if I hadn't known about Dorian's orientation before launch, I wouldn't have known he was gay until the scene with his father. With Sera, there are several comments she makes in Haven after recruiting her that show that she's interested in women rather than men, even without flirting with her. Not entirely sure about at Skyhold, though....
Sera is a pretty thing though. I mean, it wasn't so hard for Bioware to record several more dialogues and make her officially bisexual. They could also made Dorian bisexual. Just as they did Bull. That would satisfy all tastes and everyone wins.
Oh no........
Ok, this is a really bad thing for you to say right now. Player-sexuality is generally frowned upon here (player-sexuality = making all romanceable characters available to the PC regardless of gender or personality). Sera is les for a specific reason that has little to do with gamers, just like Dorian being gay, IB and Josephine being bi, and Cullen, Blackwall, Solas, and Cassandra being straight. A character's sexuality is just as much part of them as their background and personality. When the writers are creating their characters, they are thinking about what would be interesting for a character while making sense for their personality, not how they're going to make certain things exclusive to certain types of gamers.
Anyway, you could easily 'romance' Harding, though there's no sex scene and once you romance someone else, your relationship with her immediately ends.
(* I'm actually asexual, but I self-identify as being straight. Since I'm ace, I tend to rate LIs by the quality of their romances and their personalities rather than their looks and their sex scenes, which I believe is what people should do)

Oh wow, I could point you towards a few old threads on the subject,
but I feel we have rather a lot of ground to make up.
The logic behind characters that are the way they are, rather than being 'player-sexual' toys is so that these characters are more authentic.
I appreciate that finding (rather late in the day and if the face of contrary evidence) that Sera wasn't into you, was disappointing,
but it's a game requiring skill outside of hitting things with metal sticks, and you just weren't paying attention to what she said,
so that's your romance game over...
Sera was getting excited about female Qunari in early banter (woof), it wasn't a jaw-dropping surprise...
