By the way, the thing that I hate the most are AWs that plays as normal mages.
AWs (15+) that just spam spells instead of using the fuckin sword and be immortal.
AW can be played as a great support class as well as a spell spamming tank, the people you've played with clearly don't know what they're doing 
Using the blade only is for n00bs and lunkheads.
But is also the easier way to win.
Whenever I get matched up with someone who's clearly "on a mission" to farm gold or promotions, or whatever else it is that motivates people to speed run, and not make it up with actual skill to justify ruining everyone's time.
Everyone, constantly and always, wants to get lots of gold and EXP. There is literally nothing else to do in this game. We all know there is no light at the end of the tunnel, so I prefer to enjoy the ride.

Best thing about the AW is that at the end of the match when everyone does their signature ability cast the AW gets down on one knee and then looks around. The other day there were necromancers to the right and left of me and Cillian the elvish perve was looking up their dresses.

btw...I don't know how to do the potion pull that fighters do at the end of the match. How is that done? (I tried to do it and I actually drank the potion instead of just having it in my hand.)

Use a potion that can be thrown (actually grenades)

You've obviously run into pugs that don't really know how to play a caster AW all that well. All the caster AW's I've met while pugging are better at tanking than 75% of the SB AW's I've run into. Plus, you deal a lot more damage in general as a caster AW than as a SB AW, anyway.

Those are grenades (Jar of Bees, Antivan Fire, Healing Mist, Confusion Grenade, etc.).
My favorite end-of-match celebration is an Elementalist starting Firestorm. The arms all akimbo swaying in the air makes me giggle every time.

On topic, I've been recently doing some semi-solo AW'ing on perilous to boost my willpower. I always leave the lobby as public in case anyone on my friends list wants to join. But 90% of the joiners are either some idiots who have a lvl20 character with beginner gear and think they're perilous-ready or lvl1-10 character looking to leech xp. Like what the hell, if you're not going to promote your poorly built archer, fine, pls stay in routine where you belong. And leeching xp is just rude, when we come to zone 5 I usually go take a dump or watch a youtube video just to see how patient they are. Oh and one time there was this level 1 elementalist, I had killed a group of dogs and there was one left which had aggro'd to the ele. I had a good laugh watching him try to kill it for a solid minute or two before dying.
Yeah I know I could set to private to prevent this but what can I say, I'm an optimist.
In pugs I don't really get annoyed with anyone other than the occasional genius who feels its appropriate to release guardians behind the entire party. That and the people who seem to think that this game actually matters. I mean, the game is easy and requires little to no skill (auto aim, auto lock on, playing against idiot AIs) but there is still some people who get high and mighty over the fact that they can solo perilous with their best in slot weapon and 500 cunning/willpower/constitution. I often wonder what these people are actually like in person, though I can't imagine id ever get the luxury given all time must go towards getting meaningless PROmotionzzzzzzzzz

I have to admit - the MP modes HAS added to my video game quote library. One of my favs is the one about agreeing to come here.

Yea, when I was a kid I used to play Lego and THAT AI really sucked! I had to take over and play EVERY SINGLE friggin' character!
People who don't ready up in the lobby. - after a minute or 2 you'll get an insta-kick from me, if you do things which will take a little longer (like creating armour, going to the toilet, having a nap, watching some TV) leave the lobby, you're holding others up.
