Wrong order. Open the treasure room at once when you see it, THEN dispatch enemies. Effectivness is the key. It is always the characters responsibility to open class specific door immediatly no matter the circumstances. By now, everybody playing this game should be geared and promoted enough to do this easily.
What I like to do is clear the zone, then go back to open the door.
The most annoying, inefficient way of doing this ever! The most annoying thing I can think of is backtracking. Again, repeat: open class specific doors immediatly!

I agree with this and even on perilous if the team is not too eager you can avoid the next spawn coming after you. All treasure rooms are easy to dispatch quickly IF the whole group is working on it. Even pita guys like the Revy will go down quick with a 4 person team. They become a danger when you are trying to take them down with fewer people. This kind if synergy is very very rare these days but it does bug me a bit that you can gain a lot more gold in a match with only a moderate increase in time if you act like a team.

Well, if the enemies are pouring from the spawns ahead of us, I'd say that takes precedence over the treasure rooms.
Normally, I prefer clearing the mob closest to the treasure room before opening it. If there are enemies trickling towards us, someone can just wait outside the room and keep them busy while the rest of us grab the loot/deal with the guardian(s). But if all the mobs are coming towards us because they were aggro'd on an animal that decided to come say hi before switching to us, I'd prefer to take care of them as quickly as possible. If the group can split into pairs and still work effectively, then I don't really mind as long as we don't get swarmed.
Really, it depends on the quality of the pugs I get. Hell, I'll open a door by myself if I'm sufficiently leveled, but not if the group's a poorly-skilled/equipped/leveled one.

Then you are doing something wrong. I mean, it doesnt take long before you know the maps so good you can do them blindfolded, even monsteraggro, movement, numbers etc. etc. Treasure room should be cleared immediatly, then move on. Preferably split up for more efficiency. Or agree to not open doors at all, and just speedrun it. Still though, get that treasure room cleared asap. There used to even be instructions on how to clear treasure rooms efficiently, but thats back when this game was new.

The only reason I do not have my Caliban or Sulevin is because of the non treasure room people. I hates them all.

btw...I don't know how to do the potion pull that fighters do at the end of the match. How is that done? (I tried to do it and I actually drank the potion instead of just having it in my hand.)
Use a potion that can be thrown (actually grenades)

Using a potion for posing at the end of the match WILL consume the potion. Just thought I'd give a heads up, as I've lost a many Healing Mists before I realized. ![]()

It's more fun to do a show of the ending screen anyways. Throw a jar of bees on the flag and maybe a static cage for extra effect.
