"The Khet race mentioned in the (supposed) survey doesn't seem to posses any redeeming qualities; they look to just be a chaotic evil faction that opposes the player. It could be very interesting if the Khet are actually an established species with depth of character and they are attacking us because we are muscling into their territory, taking their resources, and generally pushing them off of suitable worlds"

We literally know nothing about the khet for now. It might well be their reason for attacking us is that they see invaders coming to steal their worlds, resources, etc. Also an intresting tidbit, they were mentioned to be "seemingly" antagonistic.

My guess hanar and elcor if they go with recycling animations and not making new ones, since they were done so basic in the old games

Bless her little blue boots, but Liara's not that great a Shadow Broker in 3.

"Where's Cerberus?" "Hey, Samantha knows!"

That being said, I keep thinking that we'll be all right, as long as Noah doesn't forget the unicorn...

Drell and elcor.

I really want the geth and quarians to return. They're my favourite (after human)!

Bloody hell, what if Cerberus has agents on the Ark that come along for the ride?

Okay, so we spend three games in the Andromeda galaxy, hopefully in that time they can figure out a way to resolve their issues in the Milky Way galaxy. Because I dont know about you guys, but I want to go back one day.

I can't imagine anyone wanting the vorcha to come along. They'd be stowaways like rats on a ship.

Yup, Drell were extinct or 99% there on ME3, doubt they will survive.

Salarians would no doubt invest a lot more in cryochambers so they can skip most if not all of the trip. I can't imagine that they'd want to take that trek there, and miss their arrival.

Geth, Vorcha, and Yahg are the mostly likely to not make the list

Drells and Quarians has a 50% chance of not making it

I'd give the quarians a better chance than the drell. We only ever encounter 2 drell in the entire trilogy, and their species never plays a significant role in anything ever. They're basically just a background color species. The quarians played a much larger role and we see quite a lot more of them, and are likely vastly more popular.

All I hope is that the three original Council races are considered mud now... and the Elcor, Quarians, Volus, Batarians, Hanar and Vorcha regularly use them as slave labor.

The Council was such a speciest organization.

Well, whatever fantastical tech whisks them off to the other galaxy would probably do so in less time than it took for Javik to take the long nap from the brink of his people's extinction and being awoken by a trio of primitives.

If the most likely timeframe for the Ark to "launch" is after Tuchanka (since the Krogan are there) and before Earth (since no endings) then I'd say both the geth and quarians are expendable. They are the only determinant races in that timeframe that can either be safe or extinct, and to some extent they are both halves to a whole "story" the conclusion to which was already told in ME3.

Batarians-People are racist against them, and bioware didn't seem to love them too much. Not sure we will see them this time.

Volus-Lol poor volus.

Asari-they could have stopped it long ago! But jk they are back.

leviathins of course.

Vorcha-but some stowed away anyway

Yahg-non council and were being experimented on.

I think the Raloi may be surprise additions to the arc, and maybe even the Geth.

If I go by my theory that the Ark takes place After Shepard loses the Catalyst to Cerberus then I'll say that almost any race could be on the Ark because by then most of the conflicts could have been resolved.  But There is only so many races they can fit on an Ark without the Reapers taking notice.  So the ones I think could have gotten the boot are:

Batarians- They cause too much trouble, racists slavers don't make for good travel companions on a ship bound to who knows where.

Elcor- Too big

Volus & Quarians- I don't see how it would be a good idea to bring suit wearing species that require too much maintenance.

Hanar- too much maintenance with the need for contra-gravitic levitation packs

Vorcha- Too dangerous and unpredictable

Yahg- Too dangerous

Leviathans- Too big

Rachni- Too much historical bad blood. Some can be too big, and all connected to the Queen
