Is this forum the right place to keep my eye on, if I want to find out if/when the new MP DLC is to be released? Or should I be looking on twitter/FB etc.
Any helpful replies welcomed.

It will likely be announced on Twitter and a player in here will post to the forums. Jus' bein honest.
It's kind of a waste of time to look for dlc news at all. Bioware seems to have decided no news is good news.
official response:
Soon...
The first rule of fight club and dlc is.....
guessing they will release it without saying a word. people will find out when they play next, then come back to tell the rest of us. then they'll officially post about it a week later.
sorry BW, you know where much of the community is at these days. hope you got some stellar stuff comin down the pipe to keep us going.
To be fair, it seems as though the exclusivity deal with MS includes content that prohibits DAMP DLC from being released on multiple platforms before the term expires. It's sad that we will be nearing 6 months after release and only getting the second DLC. So much for Bioware's claims of improved support over ME3MP.
I doubt that. As far as I'm aware, the beta patch program was still in effect past "the date" we thought the DLC would be released.
Ps4 just got new dlc,
You can now buy points or whatever they are called from from PS store. Probably not the dlc you were looking for but it still counts...right?

Only if bug fixes count as new content.
Yeah, it seems that Twitter is the place to go for any DA news now. Sad really. I miss the old days when the devs would actually pop in on the official forums for announcements and discussions. Sadly, it seems that they've developed pretty thin skins as far as criticisms are concerned (but to be fair, there was a lot of unneccessary personal attacks). The DLC for this title is much more lackluster than previous titles. And that's saying something after only two story DLCs and armor packs for DA2.
My guess is that I'll see DLC news here anyway, so I don't bother checking twitter. Besides, community polls and obnoxious quotes on images weird me out. I have nothing against twitter in general. I just feel like it serves a better purpose when it's used to deliver technical information and actual news.

The game itself was lacklustre. I couldn't even make it through the whole thing. Classic case of attempted quantity > quality. It wasn't long before I was playing MP more than SP, MP instead of SP, and finally MP for weekend challenges only. Now I'm begrudged to do even that, because it feels like the devs don't care about it.
While I'm at it, shamelessly replacing the entire title screen with a DLC advertisement was hilarious.

Hey, that's going to be like a huge improvement! Jaws of Hakkon had been 'announced' by adding it into the XB-one store & origin!
And they even had that 'teaser' trailer!..something like 24 hours past the release moment.
I just get my DLC gossip news from pugs.
Whatever DLC is upcoming for DAMP I hope it is game changing, as in completely new gameplay mechanics, brand new powers, unique weapons, fresh ways at playing the game, actual destructible environments, new enemy factions that offer more than a re-skin, new playable characters that bring entirely new strategies and methods of play to the game, etc.
ME 3's MP had its 3rd piece of major DLC out by this timeframe along with constant updates, balance changes, and dev interaction with the fans. I don't think a handful of new characters with reshuffled powers, and one or two new maps is going to really bring people back to the game. We need something big.

Agreed. We're talking double the existing content at a minimum to make it worthwhile. That won't happen though.

I think you can assume the DLC will have:
3 new characters
maybe 1-2 new maps
dragons
new high level purple weapons that no one will ever be able to get (unless your invisible score is off-the-charts).
sufficient?

Personally, I would be okay with a smaller number of characters, powers, weapons, etc. as long as the ones we get are totally unique. I would be fine with the DLC only adding six new characters as long as said characters were something like:
A Mabari, a Werewolf, a Golem, a mage employing a brand new school of magic (support/buff based maybe? Blood Magic?), a warrior that can duel wield weapons ranging from daggers to long swords (and any combination in-between), and a rogue that can switch between ranged and melee attacks at will as well as supporting the party (a bard maybe?)

Oh, I wasn't trying to imply otherwise! Haha! I just figured I'd keep my response related to DLC. And yeah, that whole screen advertisement has got to go!
