See that's just messed up. I've spent 500k or so and I just need Sulevin and the 200 HP belt. Maybe a superb crit damage ring or a cool ability ring but I have longshot and walking bomb. I get RNG being better to some, but I shouldn't have that much more gear with half as much gold spent.

To be honest I felt really lucky at about 500k. Had two superb HOK rings...most of the 2nd best in slot weapons ect..

 

But the second 500K was filled with a bunch of duplicates.

Got mine beat. I think my highest PBtM is 195, I've got 2 at the moment.

 

Mine's at 200.

I wish we could figure out some phrase other than "invisible chest score". It makes me think e-boob and I keep wondering if my invisible chest score is adequate or not.

But wouldn't someone who has opened 1mil worth of chests have a higher invisible number than me at 500k?

I would hope so, seeing as you don't open doors. 

 

Though, I will admit I didn't open doors regularly until recently. Only have about 25 routine matches completed, and by the time I started playing most threatening teams ignored the doors.

Oh I used to be on the other side. I wanted every pot, I opened every door. When you get to a point where you only need a small handful of items, the odds are stacked against you; so you save money for a possible DLC rather than end up salvaging items from hundreds of chests. I'll still do doors if the group wants to, I don't have to like doing it though

So, basically, you are proof that the invisible loot score is working as intended.  Opening the rooms matters.  Someone who opens up every single door early on can get all the good stuff with only half the money spent than someone who didn't open up the doors.

Well, I don't really think so. I think I've opened about 80 percent of the doors in the total games I've played, and I'm up to about 575,000 gold spent.

 

I think it's just RNG, with a minor boost from "invisible loot score", if your luck is crap, then it's just crap. The minor boost doesn't do much, but give you level 1-20 commons to break down, instead of level 1-15 commons.

 

I'm still missing lots of items.

 

My daggers are pretty lame for nearly 600k gold spent,(level 20 blue, and level 17 unique) but I honestly don't care about them atm. Probably my least favorite classes to play outside of the Templar.

 

I don't have PtM bow, but Longbow of the Griffon work just fine

 

The big ones are, Sulevins blade, health belt, stamina amulet, long shot ring, another 10 HoK would be nice, Axe of the dragon hunter, still need a lot of level 23 armor upgrades as well (too many to list)

 

It's been a long time since I opened a chest and got something I could actually use, around the 400k gold mark.

It's not uncommon to reach a certain x amount of gold spent and subsequently not receiving anything unique or useful at all after that, if you have reached the 1 million milestone and not received anything of usefulness than its quite likely you may not get it for a looooooong time. Burning nugs to the rngeesus will not even help, because the pool of common crap far outweighs the 1-2 high level rares that your seeking.

Like always...I got all my cool stuff from saving up enough gold to open 10 chest in a row.

It's worked for me...and I don't buy chest unless I can open 10 now.

But it's prolly just all Rng.

RNG is RNG and until they fix this "invisible score" or improve it i refuse to believe in it. 

 

perfect example: i play with my brother 90% of the time. we have just about as much gold spent (roughly 800-875k), yet i have pretty much everything in the game(caliban, sulevin, PbtM, LbotG, red birth, wicked grace, pyre of forgotten... etc) only significant thing im missing is the superb HoK ring i have all the good ability rings as well. on the other hand my brother who has spent almost as much as i have and since we play together opened up as much doors as i have is missing pretty much everything. heck the only "top tier" item he has would be the griffon and wicked grace. he doesn't even have a blue HoK ring for christ sake. rng is rng.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I got Sundering and a Walking Bomb ring from mine. This only slightly outweighs the usual box full of blue runes and lvl 15 AoE daggers.

Walking bomb ring is amazing, a lot of people out there would sacrifice you to the RNG gods for it.

I got my 3rd LBotG, now I have all the elements. This latest one had more damage too, 200 with my rune now.

Same boat here! Mine gave me LBotG #5 which is finally over 200 dps with a rune. I've had pretty decent RNG luck so far though, ~800k spent and I've got many of the best weapons, hp belt, blue hok... Enough to get by for now at least

I've gotten at least 3 more LBotG from chests and scrapped them all because I already have it.  I also managed to finally get Starfang only to see that my Sundering maul completely outclassed it......

 

DA MP RNG is really starting to annoy the hell out of me now.....  

 

Side note: The Elusive Icebow isn't so elusive, is it?
