mauls in this game do not out class anything. they hit such a small area and so slow it makes me want to fall asleep. 

 

Considering how the only 2-handed weapon I've gotten from the chests that is on par with my Sundering Maul is the Slayer battleaxe, and even then, it's still out-DPSed by it (not by much, but still), I'd say that it pretty much outclasses anything else I've gotten.  It's really annoying since I've had it since about a week after launch and I still haven't found anything better than it as far as 2-handed weapons go.

I find Slayer way better than Sundering, even on my Reaver.

 

I tried going back to my Sundering to finish up my Maul weapon challenge and I just couldn't bear it. After about two matches of feeling gimped, slow, awkward, and just downright bad, I had to go back to using the Axe.

Dragon-Rage!

I realize how Dragon Rage works,.. I still prefer an axe over a maul though.

 

You'll still need to auto attack during Rampage every once in a while, and those Venatori blocking pain the... If they block 4 Dragon Rage attacks in a row, you gotta do something different.

Venatori Zealot vs. Banshee

 

Banshee used Disembowel!

 

Zealot used Sword of Ultimate Blocking!

 

Disembowel had no effect!

 

 

Seriously, the Zealots and Red Templars' Swords of Ultimate Blocking are ridiculous.

A blocked damage counter which breaks their guard when it exceeds a certain threshold would be nice.

I once played this weird mode in damp where i had to fight a pride demon but i couldn't damage him until his guard was broken, and I could control the other players. And something about a gangrene hand.

 

Seems like having to break guard would add something to the game.
