For the record, Arcane Warriors don't usually need heal on kill. Guardian Spirit and Strength of Spirits should be enough to keep you alive in most situations, assuming you're dealing enough damage. I'd suggest straight attack/willpower instead, but if you want to play it safe, some heal on kill is fine.

do you even play on perilous? lol HoK on blade and grip is the way to go for fury. then use chain lighting ring or 2 superb attack rings.  If guardian spirit goes off then how do you get health back? Most cases stopping to drink potions will kill you, assuming you're soloing or dragging level 1 buddies through perilous. If not then you should go play another character because no one likes a wanna be bad ass on an arcane.

So is PotA still spewing enemies around the map when it ends? Last time I played AW I didn't take it because I was tired of that happening. When other people use it I normally see enemies running on the spot instead of being pulled towards the centre, yet attacking the centre deals damage to them...so while I agree that it's a wonderful ability, more so with all the stacked passives, I'd like it a lot more if the game was stable.

Yeah, it is, but it's more of a timing issue between the enemies going from passive to aggressive and the PotA dragging them to the center.  I've found that aggroing the enemies before casting PotA and waiting to cast it until they start heading towards you results in them being spit back out a lot less often.  If you use PotA to open, then enemies will look like they're being pulled to the center of it, while the game thinks they're running around to attack, hence why you'll sometimes see them preforming attack animations before they get spit out.

You just have to know the best times to use it, really.

Sincerest apologies for rustling your jimmies, sir, but it was just a suggestion. I've played perilous with a level 12 Arcane Warrior without HoK on multiple occasions without incident. Keep moving, keep your damage going and you'll be fine. Like I said, though, playing it safe by having HoK is entirely acceptable.

I appreciate the feedback, thanks.

On a big spawn you can do Chain Lightning (50 Mana) and then wait the few secs until you can cast Pull of the Abyss (65 Mana).

That way you'll get:

- Full barrier from CL

- Agro running towards you (sometimes they gather together)

- POTA performs it crowd control

- Enemies will be put to sleep from lightning + weaken (if enemies are spit back they still sleep)

With POTA builds it's really nice to have one of those crazy keepers that spamms CL everywhere, and even better if the keeper uses Mind Blast or Veil Strike on your sleeping targets for the Nightmare combo.
