We know the Hero of Fereldon traveled to the jungle land west of the Anderfells. And we know the Qunari have a 'Big presence' there; So could the Jungle-Land be home to the Horned giants? Or to the Kossith who is the real "Horned Empire". And what of the Sunless Islands? We know the barbarians went there at some time only to find more "Strong Barbarians" Are they Human or Elf? And are the Qunari a split-off group of rich pirate Kossith? or are they missionaries? They sure seem hellbent on wanting to convert people to the Qun.

We really don't know much about the world beyond Thadas shown in game. We know that the ancient forbears of the Chassand, Ferelden and Avvar came out of the distance west bring the Avvar gods with them. We also know that the Neromenians who became the various other human peoples including the Tevinter came out of the north and pointedly tribes grouped as the Northern Neromenians who eventually became the Tevinter Imperium brought the worship of the god that Andreste would call the Maker to known Thadas while the rest of the Neromenians apparently were apparently animists.

 

Other than that we know that the Qunari also apparently came out of the north thousands of years later and invaded Thadas before eventually being driven back after the shock of their invasion wore off. They were apparently driven out by the Kossith though who the Kossith are is unknown other than they according to the fragmental and vague records of the Qunari were able to drive out the Qunari of the lands of the Kossith in the east across the northern sea which led to their invasion of known Thadas.
