I haven't played the ME MP for a long time... but it's the only time I've ever enjoyed a MP game, so I certainly wouldn't object to it reappearing. And I seriously doubt they would take it out, since that's a big selling point for games now.
please, no MP in new ME game.

To this day I still play ME3mp almost daily.
Same here. If not for ME3's mp, this game would have died and been forgotten about or sold by thousands of players. I've met some great people and found a new appreciation for a game that, before I tried MP (I was excited for MP until BW announced it wasn't in the campaign) I was ready to sell this game or use the disc as a coaster. For you netless whiners that want to see MP removed, too bad. It's too big of a hit to not include and it doesn't take away a lot of assets. To me, crying to remove MP from ME now is like asking a retailer to stop with BOGO sales. I'd implore everyone to give it a try. It'll surprise you.

I believe Mass Effect's multiplayer reused areas from singleplayer.
Or the other way round. Whoi knows.

Then why do all the shared maps, with the possible exception of Glacier, feel more like multiplayer maps than single player maps? They are quite different to the usual maps we see.

They're different, true; they're not linear as most of Mass Effect 2 and 3. But is that such a bad thing? I personally enjoyed the N7 missions in single-player. They had a small story going on and there were goodies to be found if you looked for them
(or to be bought from the Spectre terminal afterwards if you were feeling lazy)

It would be stupid not to use assets for botth SP and MP. And ME3 could have done way more that just these 6? N7 missions.

I think they were clearly designed as multiplayer maps, but additional value is given by having Shepard play them first.
Helps the story and loosely ties the SP campaign with the multiplayer forces.

Just don't force me to play MP to move along the single player story. I don't like playing online with other people, and I don't want to be forced to play it just to get the main SP story moving. That'd be a dickish move.

If the leak is correct, it looks like you can either avoid the MP by sending the A.I. to do those missions, or playing them yourself as single-player ones. I'm also guessing that they won't be critical path.

I'd also prefer that the economies be kept completely separate - so that any rewards earned in MP are only beneficial in MP.
I don't want to feel like I need to play MP to get the best gear, etc., for my SP game.

Not going to happen, however I do want a separation between the two. In no way should you be forced in to MP just to achieve something in SP like you where in ME3.

Please, no more MP in BioWare games, they add no value whatsoever and takes away resources. and God be da**ed if this was announced to be a full MMORPG game like the Star Wars (im sorry but it is crap) they made a few years back.
I mean I admit MP in ME3 (which they forced us to play to get a 'better' ending) and DAI are good time-killers but do not include them with the main game.
either be kind and include as a free add-on or try to make money out of it by assigning an entire team to it so that people who like to play those type of games can have better quality because they dont mind paying for it. It could be a spin-off and Im sure die-hard fans will still buy and try but don't include in the main game!
Don't waste any more resources for these MP and destroy a potential good game.
I love MP and would pay for an MP add-on. Especially if that would produce a better MP. But I agree it has no place in the single-player game.

I m not playing it anymore because I m on PS4 now, but I really really love ME3 multiplayer, I spent like 300 hours on this multiplayer, it was always a lot of fun because everything was great, the game design, the fights, the customization, the content, maps etc.
So yeah of course I want it again on ME4, bigger, better and stronger.

They absolutely should have it...if for no other reason the money generated helps ensure continued and better single player games. I generally hate multiplayer, but even I played some of ME3MP and enjoyed it (albeit less than 20 hours.) If they really want to try and get more single players to venture into MP they should have a little side-story that unlocks in SP the more you play (completely separate and generally irrelevant to the SP story.) That would illicit my interest in getting into it. The whole war assets approach was just a weak and cheap implementation, compounded by not having enough WA's present in the initial game to obtain the "best" ending.

NO!
MP shouldn't touch a d@mn thing in SP. Not one quest, not one scene, not one line of dialogue! DAI at least manages that much. Though their obnoxious ads for it in the main menu are still bothersome.

I hope ME:Next is MP only.
^these forums were that to happen, except for the MP section, which is already a charred husk of irrelevant discourse as is.

If the leak is true, at least some of the MP missions can be played as SP missions, so that will achieve at least some of what Helios wants without taking away from the SP.
Also, if you don't want the splash page for the latest DLC, disconnect from the internet before starting the game.

Given how ME3 and DAI handle multiplayer missions, I highly doubt that's true

I shouldn't have to do that every time I want to play.

What do you mean? As far as I know, the only negative impact on SP with the multiplayer was that ME3MP (or the phone app) was needed for the highest EMS rating, at least until the Extended Cut.

Better yet, a game with a MP mode like "invasion" in Watch Dogs, where player have the option to intrude into the SP game of other player (without invitation of course) and play against them.

Like players invading the ships of other players? That'd be great! Metal Gear Solid V is doing something like this.

I mean that MP missions can be played SP. I highly doubt it will ever be balanced so that it's intended that way.
