Then two guys duo'd gold with level 1 Krogan kits and people were like "whoa, these kits are good after all!"
To be fair gold once was a helluva lot harder.

That too, but Krogan kits were always pretty good. Giving them better shields and buffing their stagger resist certainly didn't hurt that.
Uh. No only that. Inferno and lift were buffed like crazy. Charge was buffed too. And unlocked fire explosions and self detonations helped them a lot.

They had high survivability and decent mobility even before all the buffs. I'm not saying they were top-tier, but they were still good.

Yes. But the Geth were a nightmare to them, because stagger. Banshees had magnet hands and Krogan were much more susceptible to that too. Also, since their killing power was lower, due to weaker nades and no nade gear, they could carry 3 max. Which means they were shot and pressured into a corner a lot more.

I've never thought magnet hands were really much of an issue because I either stay so far away from Banshees that they have no chance of grabbing me, or that they teleport through a wall right on top of me, to where magnetism doesn't matter--I'd get grabbed regardless.
Geth stagger never really bothered me much either. Before the Drone and Turret both got buffed, and before playing platinum where Phantoms and Banshees can force me to get into a Prime's LOS, staying out of the way wasn't quite so difficult.

There was no Platinum at the beginning remember? Earth DLC was released on July 17th. Kogan were buffed with balance changes before that. ![]()

That's why I said "before playing Platinum." On Gold, even without stagger resistance, Geth didn't bother me when I played Krogan. I couldn't go and melee things, but I managed alright, and I was by no means a great player in those days.
Prior to Platinum's release, Geth never fazed me much with any kit (unless I played a Krogan specifically as a melee fighter). The reason was that they didn't have much to flush you of out of cover with. Geth hunters can be annoying, but if you spot them at range, they're mostly harmless. Pyros are completely harmless if they don't get right up in your face. Without other factions' units, I found Geth to be a cakewalk unless teammates decided not to use cover.
Geth on Platinum without stagger resist would be a very different story. ![]()

Well, maybe you had lower standards when you were a scrub? ![]()
I almost agree, but will just mention two things: the debuff counts for the whole team, so firing it at an Atlas, Prime, Scion etc will often be useful in pugs because your teammates will probably be focused on them as well, especially when the mooks have all been dispatched. Also, the reason I mentioned the Striker is because Marksman is best activated once you've achieved full ramp-up speed and are close to emptying the clip, in my experience at least, which ties in with PM almost perfectly.
Buffing PUGs? You're off your rocker now. 1.20 x 0 is 0. ![]()
I get what you're saying though - it makes more sense to use PM with a long-clip weapon. I'm most often using the Raider, and CS spam syncs almost perfectly with the time it takes to empty a Raider clip and reload. Banshee coming at you? Just CS -> shootshoot -> CS -> repeat until her Barrier is down (doesn't take long), and then flip on Marksman for the kill.
I'm afraid this is about as obvious a L2 issue as there ever was.
**** geth. Just sayin'.
There is wisdom in your words.
Your Tacticool Scan needs to go back to the drawing board, or maybe the scrap heap. It doesn't work off-host without beating it half a dozen times. And by then whatever damage boost I would have gotten from it is negated by the time spent derping around with it. Why do you think some Quarians themselves spec completely out of it? Because even they know how unreliable it really is.
Proximity Mines also enjoy complete disregard for AIU grenade munchers, and can even be used in conjunction with other grenades, sans compromise. In their collapsed state, you can carry so many as to consider your supply virtually unlimited. They can be launched with absolute impunity.
Also I will note that our mines do the jobs of TWO of your separate technologies, making the mines much more efficient overall.
Looks like the Geth outsmarted you if you thought you were giving them the lesser tech.
Sounds like a bunch of L2quarian issues. My tacticool scan works fine, and even if it didn't why would I put points into lolfitness unless I want to punch things?
Like I'd accept one of those atrocious sexbots in my lobby. Even if I did, I can use gear and TCPs to get more than enough grenades to kill literally everything without touching an ammobox, and I can spam the everloving crap out of them instead of waiting 4 seconds for a far less powerful device.
That's a bit like saying an El Camino is more efficient than owning both a tractor trailer/lorry and a Ferrari. It does two jobs terribly and makes you look dumb....yayy.
We definitely gave them the lesser tech. Imagine if we'd given them Arcnades instead of that crappy mine. Everyone would be stuck on spikes or turned into Reaper slushie before the end of the first game.
And yet, having a simple Geth/Quarian hop would do wonders for OG's
No, the salarians already stole that from us.
Fat Turian Double Blade Melee for the Win (also because it's funny)
No, the salarians already stole that from us.
Do you have any proof for that, or is it just the usual 'Quarians are great' nonsense logic?
I am seriously asking.
Shoot her to make her stop and start throwing Warps. At this point she can't sync-kill you. So just shoot her some more, while avoiding blue balls of doom.
Here's how Banshees work in a nutshell: They will charge whoever they locked onto until stopped.
Thanks, both, that helps a lot. Even after nearly 300 hours in this game, I hadn't cottoned on to the fact that damaging Banshees makes them stop charging.

That's right. Krogan can withstand Prime Siege Pulses while reviving downed cheerful to be Krogan saved pugs.
Honestly the only kits I have trouble with in this regard are the vanilla turians. The Batarians and Krogans both have pretty good sprint speeds that make up for the lack of dodge, and they mostly have armor abilities to give them some durability. However, the vanilla turians are ridiculously slow I always end up using an adrenaline module on them. The lack of dodge does get you sync-killed occasionally, but it happens rarely enough that I don't feel I am handicapped too much.

Do you stretch in the morning when you get out of bed? So do we! We stole that, too.
Next they'll be claiming that we stole their hopes, dreams, and aspirations. Quarians, such defeatist attitudes, very victim mentalities, many enablers. It's no wonder they lost control of the Geth, they practically gave up before the war even started. They had so convinced themselves that they were inferiour, that they BECAME inferiour. Now all this talk about how great a race they are, is not meant to convince US, but rather to convince THEMSELVES. Rather hard, when they live in a society that ingrains into their minds at an early age delusions of grand galactic conspiracies against them. Now they see them everywhere they look, but the sad truth is that their perceived antagonism exists only within their own minds. They spend their entire adult lives attempting to undo the damage that the previous generation's adults did to them during their childhoods, while continuing to perpetuate that very cycle.
(deep nose breath)
No one wants to hang out with a downer. Stop torturing yourselves. Get help. Recognition is the first step to recovery. I can put you in touch with several esteemed Salarian Doctors who would be happy to study youhelp.

In some way it bugs me that the Fat Turians can do a combat roll from cover to cover - why can't they do it when they aren't in cover?

The cover is made out of mass effect fields which decreases theit fatness and allows them to roll.
The answer is always mass effect fields.
