Dear Bioware writers and developers,

I cannot understate the importance of your superb characters to the success of your franchise. Reappearances of familiar faces from previous games are always exciting for me as a player. While the fan base may be divided on favorite fictional friends, I would like to pose a few suggestions for future content based on my own gameplay and interaction with the community.

First, Morrigan is indispensable in the current timeline of the game. Her actions (and the potential further significance of her son) are a constant source of intrigue for me and many others. When she is not present, her absence is sorely missed. Let us further explore her magic, her relationship with her child and mother, and the complexities of her personality and goals.

I have some suggestions involving Morrigan. Most of us would love to see her as a playable character again. However, I think she would also make a fantastic villain in the series. Her intentions for raising an "old god" child are never quite clear and it would be interesting to see why she so desperately wanted the child---especially if her reasons were sinister.

Other players may have denied Morrigan her child, but she could theoretically perform the ritual with someone else (maybe finding a corrupted old god in the deep roads using an Eluvian?) and thus have a younger old god child. What does Morrigan gain from this relationship? That needs to be made clear.

Another potential idea is using Anora as a main antagonist. She is powerful and I would believe it if she tried to start an imperial war against the other countries of Thedas. There is a lot of raw potential for tension between Celene and Anora and even the new divine. I'd especially like to see Anora take on and cause problems for the next Thedas hero.

Even if players chose to dispose of Anora (resulting in her imprisonment), she could still escape and lead an underground revolution. She mentions strong loyalty from the people, some of which may still be angry with Alistair's coup. While it would be harder for her to start claiming parts of Thedas under her imperial rule, it would still be plausible considering her excellent negotiation skills.

This points to other interesting places that could be conquered in Anora's campaign. We could have the chance to explore and/or protect Rivain, Antiva, Nevarra, the Anderfels, The Donarks, Par Vollen, Seheron, etc. This would also allow for further skin color and body type diversity among your NPCs.

As far as conquering goes, there is always the possibility of the full-scale Qunari invasion. It's not completely clear as to what it would take for the invasion to begin. The people of Thedas don't seem to take it too seriously, either. The only exception I can think of is what happened in Kirkwall, but it was merely a chapter in a larger story. I'd love to hear the actual reason for the delay. Is the Qunari army and navy stretched thin in "the land beyond the sea" and therefore cannot afford to open another battlefront? Or maybe their own ideology and integration into Thedas has inhibited their ability and willingness to create more war?

There is also potential for other invasions from the lands beyond the sea and---thinking in the opposite direction---potential for opportunistic explorers to depart from Thedas on their own journeys to discover what lies beyond the known continent. Pirates, such as Isabela, could reappear in this instance and be either helpful or a hindrance.

Finally, I would offer that a shift in time would also be really interesting. For example, going back in the past and exploring the rise and fall of Andraste AS Andraste, or even as a character directly involved with her, would be really interesting. It would be complicated but it would be a really cool part of Thedas history explored.

Thank you for listening to my suggestions. I look forward to future Dragon Age installments.

Sincerely,

A ridiculously devoted fan (who also happens to be a professional writer if you ever find yourself in need of another) :)

I agree. I'll post more on this later. But you have two other duplicate topics. Let this be the one that's replied to.

Thank you! I hid them, so hopefully that prevents further confusion. As requested I made this one the main thread. This is the first time I've posted in Bioware forums, so I apologize. :) Apparently I triple clicked on the post button or something. Haha!

They can't utilise Anora as she's gone in some worldstates

Actually, Anora is present in all world states, except maybe one where hardened Alistair rules alone or jointly with F!Cousland. It is implied that he executes her afterward.

But BioWare could change that easily to where Anora is simply exiled or something. That way, she could show up again as anything, from queen to commoner.

More later.

Okay, I am actually working on a fanfic that talks about my Hero, Anora, and Morrigan and links their stories together in a special way, and based on what I have so far I can tell you with certainty that there is a lot that BioWare could do with Anora as well as Morrigan.

I know a lot of fans hated Anora and this is based mostly on her possible actions at the estate and in the Landsmeet, but depending on how you play she can actually be a great ally to have and her actions can be downright honorable. I think too many fans refuse to see things from her perspective. She was caught between love for her father (the one she always had known as a hero), and doing the right thing (possibly at risk to herself).

And Morrigan is just incredibly complex and dynamic. She was somewhat cold in Origins, but by Inquisition she has softened up and has started to think of others, especially if she had Kieran. She might also possibly be under Mythal's compulsion, and in that case Morrigan can also turn into a dragon.

There are plenty of possibilities here for both characters, especially if they are involved with the Hero in some way.

Actually they can if they give King Alistair the same content, and if they rule together it would be easier
