Take downs, slow paced ect
I'm not impressed at all.
Did it not occur to you that the were slowing down on purpose to demo the game? They do that all the time with FPS games that they demo. Take downs are optional.

End '15 and start '16 won#t be gentle on my wallet. Fallout 4, XCom 2, possibly Battlefront (still not convinced about that one), maybe the new DOOM just for the hell of it (pun intended), Mass Effect Andromeda, plus I still got Galactic Civilizations III on my must-have list that's getting bought as soon as I got my fill of Endless Legend for the time being ...
Oh, and just because I just found a decent version of the Fallout 4 Atom Bomb Baby trailer, here for everyone to enjoy (I frickin' love the trailer, best of E3 imo):
^ Those are kind of trailers I wanna see.
Now that trailer is the good ol fashion FO I love.

Love the Power Armour thing.
Now we know how they actually get into it.

Feels incredibly similar to this New Vegas trailer, at least for me:
Which is awesome.

Yup.
But the problem is we knew Chris Avellone was gonna be behind that one.
Who does Beth have?
Not Chris Avellone.
Love the Power Armour thing.
I love the mobility of it.
There's a couple things in Fallout games that I've never tried, simply because the gameplay wasn't suited for it. In FO3 I couldn't have fun with unarmed or melee combat, because it was so boring, just whack, whack, whack.
In F:NV, unarmed and melee gameplay is so much better that you can have fun with it.
And in FO4, Powerarmor and heavy weapons might finally be something for me. I never liked power armour and heavy weapons, when a simple sneak and small guns build was so ridiculously superiour. But if we can now jet pack boost straight into enemy faces with a flamer for example, that would make that kind of gameplay unique, instead of simply being a louder, more durable version of walking around like you do anyway.
So apparently Sony is the one fronting the rest of the money for Shenmue 3 now that they hit their kickstarter goal... really? That's some grade A ******* right there, could've funded them the entire time but needed to extort fans on live tv first.

Eh if you look at it by a business pov, makes perfect sense really.
It does suck for gamers, but that's business for you.
They're like "wtf people actually wanna buy this game?"

But let's be honest here every Shenmue fan would love to help them develop the game ![]()

Sure, free money nobody can get back is always great. Sony should start kickstarting all of their projects. ![]()
I'd throw money at it. Shenmue 3 is what I wanted.. I ended up getting that and now a Nier follow up from Platinum Games.. bunch of other interesting titles too.. South Park if it wasn't for the fact that Obsidian isn't involved is something I'm a bit on the fence about. But this E3 has been showing some goodies.

Hmm... it's possible Sony wanted to test if there would be enough interest in the game. $2 million seemed way too low given how much the previous games cost. Anyway, it's still good news, especially for KS backers since they now have more assurances that the game will indeed come to light.

"There’s something curious about Shenmue III on Kickstarter: it’s only asking for $2 million. It took $47 million to build the original game. What’s the deal? As it turns out, Sony’s partnering with its development."

Damn, i didn't know the first game cost that much. I knew it was ambitious, but I thought those kind of budgets didn't show until the big MMOs and GTAs popped up.

Thank you both for the clarification.
I think I wouldn't have a huge problem with a company like Sony "gauging interest" using a Kickstarter-like scheme and maybe basing the scope of the game on the level of interest, except the funding in that case should operate more like preorders rather than investment.
If they just wanted to gauge interest, they could have just done market research and looked into focus groups.. or simply talked to gamers at E3 itself. This is a little more sleazy.
Yeah it's sleazy, but the Shenmue side of me is just happy we're getting the dam thing.
/is a bad gamer
Lol, I can't believe the translator had his mic muted for Kingdom Hearts!!! ![]()
And then they showed the mobile game! Oh, SE, this is a riot!
