I thought the Last Guardian looked neat.

 

I know that thing is going to die and I'm going to cry for four days straight.

 

But I still wanna play it.

 

FF7 of course stole the show.

 

MEA was sort of disappointing. Wanted to see more.

 

FO4 is FO4

 

Same goes for Uncharted 4.

 

Hoop Gawd was great.

 

And the rest is all Phil's fault.

FO4 will be one of those really rare ones that I play just for the gameplay.

Pressing the home button on the X1 controller will take you to the revamped X1 home screen, but pressing the view and menu buttons simultaneously(start and select) will bring up the Xbox 360 guide with all its features including stuff like screenshots and DVR from the One.

 

Also the backwards compatibility is basically software emulation so hardware won't work(like Rockband controllers) and will require downloads of the games onto the One's hard drive as every game needs a bit of it on the hard drive to run.

Finally got caught up with the trailers and such. MGS5 looks fairly promising, I never really know what to expect from that series. Going to wait for peer reviews on it, but otherwise keeping an eye out for it. Uncharted 4 looks as slick as usual. Looks like they revamped the melee combat for the better, to boot. Not a long-time fan so it's more of a rental for me, but looks nice.

Dark Souls III looks like...well, more dark souls. Decaying Kingdom, King who screwed it up for everyone else, Giant-Ass Bosses. New gameplay ideas help alleviate the concern, but going to wait for more gameplay footage before joining the hype train.

DOOM hasn't impressed me *yet* on the gameplay side, though they've got the window dressing down very well - going back to their roots is for the best on this type of series. I'd like to see more challenging foes and new environments.

Hmm... tough one. This year? I'd say Fallout 4 is my most anticipated title even if I am also looking forward to Arkham Knight. Are any other titles coming out this year?

 

The games I'm most looking forward to in 2016 are:

 

1. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst

2. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

3. Dishonored 2 (Emily, yay!)

4. Rise of the Tomb Raider (because we all know it's coming to PC)

5. Mass Effect: Andromeda

I'm betting that the new Mass Effect slips into 2017, since we haven't really seen any gameplay or heard much about the story yet. EA titles have become really bad about being delayed in recent years. I'm excited for it too, but I just wanted to point that out so no one gets too hyped about it coming out in Holiday of 2016.

You could absolutely get a gameplay trailer next year and have it still be in line to come out in 2016.
