I'd really question the audience that watches conferences like E3. I mean, YES these games sell well... but do the people who buy these games show up to watch E3 in large numbers? Obviously after over a decade of having sports games at E3, they'd be able to tell if anyone cares or not. If no one cares, why show it? Even if it will sell 10 million copies - is anyone better served for having those segments in?
