Having included female characters, the obvious next step to boost character diversity in Call of Duty was to let you play as Legion.

Because bows and arrows rose back to prominence in the last few decades. Compound bows basically.

Same reason why there's a Bow and Arrow in Killzone which takes place in 2357 in another star system.
