If damp is region locked, than the amount of players must be getting smaller and smaller by the week because i continually play with the same handful of people in perilous, and the times I play threatening I'm playing with a larger pool albeit the same crop of players. I don't even add these players not because they are bad, far from it, when I fact I'll probably be in a random pug lobby with them next game.

I've played with a lot of you guys on this forum,on xbone, so you know who you are, and I'm not gonna throw out any names either out of respect and anonymity.

I'm wondering if you guys on consoles re experiencing the same phenomena as I have, particularly lately. Is this a dreaded foreshadowing of things to come for damp?

Well the good news is, the people I see over and over again are usually really good players. I do see a lot of the same names. (PS4)

The bad news is, I run into a lot of people that I don't usually see as well,.. they are not so good, and I usually don't see them again.

I think a lot of the single player mode players have tried to make the switch over to multiplayer, but have run into that brick wall, when they bump it up to threatening difficulty.

They see the older players who have better gear and are more skilled, breeze through and dominate while they struggle to stay out of the fade.

Frustration soon follows as they struggle to aquire better gear from the terrible loot system, and they end up quitting.

I remember my first 2 weeks of MP and I nearly quit as well. I didn't have a single weapon over level 15, till I hit nearly 100k gold spent.

If you First World people come across the same players over and over, imagine those who live in unprivileged regions shunned by the region-lock.

It's getting to the point where I'm not seeing the same players anymore because they all quit. There are literally less than 10 people playing the game in Oceania these days.

I'm still in my first two weeks. I think they were very smart in putting the keeper as a starting class. The barrier eases you in so much and allowed me to play higher difficulties earlier. As I was only focused on protection, the fact that I couldn't kill anything didn't bother me. But now coming up to 2 weeks of play, I am seeing better drops from chests, but still am using subpar weapons and have no accessories. But I feel I found my class in the Hunter.

When I can find a lobby with some people in they are usually the same ones, luckily I bump into a good number of really good team players (XBone) so (usually) have great matches with some good moments.

Unfortunately less people playing each day, I know BW don't want to comment or do much for MP, real shame because I still like the game, just hope they have not already written off the MP part of the game.. :(

If you could do some data gathering with those players you always see.

Ask them which region they live in and work out how many kilometers/miles they are away from you so we can work out how strict the ping filtering is.

For my region i'm pretty sure it must be like 50ms or something stupidly low... I pretty much only get people in my own country and people on the East Coast of Australia.

Usually connections to that part of AUS around 20 - 30ms and within my own country it is 0 to 6ms.

I feel like there is a crop of newer players. I almost never run into people with good gear or high promotions these days.

I also see the same folks all the time, something that hardly happened in ME3MP. It's kinda boring.

I think this trend will continue. It is game of the year, many people will grab it as price continues to drop.

PS3 seems to have a decent amount of players in Europe. Can't say I don't recognize like half the names that pop up in lobbies at this point, but occasionally there are some new ones too. Maybe there is still hope?

I've run into familiar names a lot, but I've also run into people I haven't seen before a lot too.  Hell, at least half of the people I've bumped into repeatedly are in the top 20 on the leaderboards (PS3).

I keep running into SeraphimDark at least once or twice every day I decide to pug around on DA MP.  They usually play as either their Assassin or Reaver though I've seen them play as the Alchemist a couple times.  Anyone else recognize the name or no?

ME4 will be fine, as long as you don't play more than 100 hours.

Same for me. I've noticed a huge inflow of new players. You can tell not just because they have no banners and have bad equipment, but also the way they play. I'm on PC.

This is good though, because it means that players are still joining.

I can tell because they are all awful. In threatening I end up alone in wave 5 after 30 seconds almost every time these days
