Well, new to me anyway. 

 

I joined a GiP on Glacier vs Rippaz, with a GT, an AA, and a Volgineer who spammed Shield Bosst all game. I got locked out of powers and guns a few times, but HM cured it as expected.

 

But then ... on W9 I was downed and revived and as I got up the Volus SBed me, and I could no longer fire my weapon. Or switch weapons. Or take out my missile launcher. HM didn't help. Getting downed and revived didn't help. So I let myself be stomped, and at the end of the wave I exited spectator mode BUT: I still couldn't use wepaons, powers, switch weapons, or select the launcher. I could use gel and ops packs for the rest of the game and that's all.

 

Most curious was that if I pulled the trigger on my Hurricane I could see the ammo in the mag going down, but it made no hits on enemies and did no damage. once I released the trigger, the mag went back to full. The spare ammo count never changed.

 

Yes, I tried HM repeatedly as well, for those who are going to ask without reading the paragraphs above

Did you heavy melee?

Something like that kinda happened to a person playing with me recently. He said he couldnt shoot his gun but on my screen he was shooting his gun. Not the same I know but it was rather strange

Apparently he's active on multiple platforms because I got this bug once. I left the game, since I couldn't do anything.

How does it hurt/damage/inconvenience you if a Volus shield boosts? I am genuinely curious.

Usually it just lockes the weapon, and doing a heavy melee fixes the bug.

Not on the Quarksman, no

If it happens when you're reloading, normally.

 

Usually it just lockes the weapon, and doing a heavy melee fixes the bug.

But not this time....

I've had to deal with something similar once ... but I think I may have been playing as a Volus as well at the time and heavy melee doesn't solve weapons lock on a Volus; in this instance dying didn't either though.

 

The game was so laggy that nothing could lock on to me anyway so I was essentially playing the last wave of the game as a decoy (nothing new there then - if I hadn't said it, someone else would have).

This is happening everywhere...WHAT DID THAT UPDATE DO TO US?????????????  ..Seriously, since that update so many BS things have been going on..I think that update was designed to torpedo this game so EA doesnt have to pay the bills for our servers any more.

Yeah, one of the few glitches where you're just fucked for the rest of the game. I think I've had it twice before in almost 7000 games so it's not one that you see very often. FWIW when it happened to me once it was during a speedrun and there was no volus in lobby so IDK that shield boost was the issue.

Yeah I've had this happen to me with no Volus teammate in two different matches. Couldn't use my weapons. Heavy melee didn't help.

Both times I was using the CSMG and got hit by Scions.

Playing as a hurricane Tsol, and it happened around wave 9. No volus on the team, though.

That might all be true but it's worth noting that I haven't had a Collector freeze on PS3 since the update.  I've jinxed myself now, obviously.  The only different glitch I've noticed is Banshees getting stuck above the container at the back of Ghost - happens almost every game now, while I'd never ever seen it before.

 

I've had a similar glitch to the OP on a couple of occasions, both on Glacier, both with Volus teammates.  On one occasion I could seemingly still kill stuff with my gun, without there being any animation to the effect at all.  It was really strange, but a fair while back.

Well, when getting shield boosted while your reloading your gun. Why glitch doesn't occur with infinite ammo weapons as the Lancer (so if you're playing a Volus and you see another Volus in the lobby, pick an infinite ammo weapon. Otherwise I think dying is the only fix since you can't heavy melee with a Volus). But what happened to Marksmad seems different from this...

You can troll the **** out of teammates if they have single shot weapons like the Claymore by watching them in their reload animation and popping shield boost at the right time. You don't have to die as a Volus just take damage IIRC.
