no real arguments left or why do you call everyone who disagree with your opinion "honey" or "sweetie"?

Oh honey Strawmen and misinterpretations of arguments aren't opinions, they are called lies, there is a difference sweetie.

To explain.

Whether you prefer a male or female protagonist = Opinion

Trying to claim that somebody said that all existing male protagonists should be neutered when they did not = lie

See the difference?

Link does not refer to just one character in the Zelda series, every new Zelda game that isn't a direct sequel features a new incarnation of the hero of time and there is nothing that says that it is impossible for one of them to be born female, try again sweetie.

I have nothing to try again for, your script is there, clear as crystal. You can't turn over the omelette as you please, in order to be always right.

You make the claim though you have yet to prove it, the part about where you have responded to the thread is beyond doubt but this only shows that you have no problem spouting ill-informed opinions on subjects you don't have the slightest clue about.

Seriously all you need to do is find one quote from me in this thread saying that "we should take an existing male character and sprinkle fairy dust on him to make him female" to prove your claims of hypocrisy without a shadow of a doubt, if you cant or refuse to do so then it only proves to everyone that you have no idea what you are talking about sweetie.

What is it I have to prove, exactly? I'll address what you're saying as soon as you address what I'M saying.

I have already addressed your false claims and given you a chance to prove yourself, it would be very easy to prove your claims if what you said were true however since you can't it can only be concluded that you have no idea what you are talking about and should be ignored.

Lookie here fellas, a feminist shill talking down to people who disagree with them. What a rare occurrence.

Either a social justice shill or a troll. I'm betting on the latter.

Stop complaining OP. There's many female characters who are beyond badass but since you have your head shoved up your bum you fail to realize that. Please stop bitching.

@Impulse

There are times I think Rahs being too harsh on you, and then you say something that makes it hard to argue with him :P

Do you really think you're going to change anybodies mind by ignoring what they think and generalizing it to the way you see it and arguing from that PoV?

Rah is always harsh!

And I argue a lot. It's just me. But yeah, I guess you bring up an interesting point.

I'm fine with the arguing part, that's what forums are good for. The problem is you're arguing a generalized view of what the problem is instead of what the OP is actually saying.

This isn't an issue of their being not enough good females characters in gaming/media.

Wish it could have maybe ended up being something simple like that, but those first and last choices.........

Perhaps I should listen more... Well, I'll take your words and think about them, perhaps I could learn a thing or two still.

No one goes to such lengths for just a joke. I can tell by how she presents the topic.

You still upset by the poll options Statham? Did I mention they were satire? Pretty sure I did, anywho if the first and last options offend you so I think you will find there is still at least 3 options to pick from that represent each side of the argument (as well as a middle ground) without poking fun at particular groups at both ends of the spectrum.

You trying to stir up controversy again? Play the professional victim? Did my poll options give you PTSD or something?

I don't think this "Impulse" person seem to grasp the concept of what makes a character "strong" be it male or female.

*rant*

I'm just here to obverse an throw my thoughts into the ring, nothing more. As for he topic in general, it doesn't matter that much to me, frankly would probably lean more toward him just staying a guy, but I've never played zelda for the most part, so I can say I understand the fan base much. So it's up in the air I guess.

Does it have something to do with how many gundams they could destroy?

Besides being able to overcome obstacles,  survive severe punishment, being able to adapt and help bring a resolution to a conflict?  Prevailing through a storm and stopping at nothing to accomplish a task?

That too.

If you think that is what makes a character "strong" as in "well-written/well-characterized" then I will send you money because I'm pretty sure I could write you off as charity work.

Why not just have Zelda be the protagonist?
