While I am sure there are some people who will claim it is sexist I think most of the outcry over Quiet's design is that it just looks stupid, putting aside the whole sexism and misogyny angle do you honestly think the design looks good?

In a "stereotypically attractive female is wearing a skimpy outfit" kind of way. Other than that, it looks silly. But I don't really care because Metal Gear is a silly franchise and I've suspended my disbelief already. I was more shocked that horse manure can make a jeep spin out of control and stun the enemies in it.

I thought it looked pretty cool... not sure about the pants as much but everything else yeah.

I'm not really sure why the mage hats in DA never sparked an outcry to be honest...

I thought there were a ton of threads complaining about the hats/helmets/hair in the Dragon Age forums?

I'm like the least informed 3,000 post person in the universe, 95% of those are in the music threads anyway.

So.. er... maybe? Anyway, my god they were goofy.

Sometime's less dressed stuff works, sometimes no, I mean.. for me it all depends.

LMAO, one of the many reasons I love Metal Gear is the attention to detail in terms of gameplay, like how you can chase guards away by shooting a beehive down at their feet, or use a handkerchief to defeat Volgin, or put on the Raikov mask.

Raikov mask, most OP item in Snake Eater.

If you put on the camouflage with the soviet flag on, Volgin will salute you, giving you enough time to whack him.

There are far worse (and sillier) threads that go on in that, and the Mass Effect forum (the pr0n that still remains there comes to mind).

Has anyone called you a bigot? I haven't seen it. Just people laughing at you. Two different things.

I have.

But you're a bigot for asking such a question, everyone's a bigot, bigotry all around!

Prejudice isn't always negative. A man can have a good opinion (instead of a bad one) on a person a priori, which means that can person can either confirm our earlier and unexperienced opinion, or break it showing us we didn't see the real truth.

Achieved freedom starts when free will is also free from the wrong use of it. Which, in case of the negative prejudice, begins when a man doesn't let the wrong thoughts (either true or false) make him hate the person or stay indifferent to her.

I voted 'No, Link has always been male and I see no reason to change that now' .

If LOZ wants to include a cool, capable female heroine (in addition to Zelda), then they should make  new one from scratch, rather than repurposing their existing male hero.

What?

He's poking fun of the general attitude the OP has been demonstrating.

Lets be honest here, everyone who votes for any of the last 3 options is a misogynistic shitlord, the person who voted 5 is merely being honest about it.

Let us not forget that ^ was a thing that was actually said in the thread.

honestly i wouldnt mind a Female secondery lead. but i would prefere her to be a character in her own right not just Link who ha problems peeing behind a bush whithout ruining her tights.

look at the early PS2 game EverGrace it had Both a Male and Female lead both working there own story in seperate areas and neither met.

Oh my god Magus hi Magus!!!

Ahem thread contribution.. um I mean really Zelda is 30 years old, it's the product of Shigeru Miyamoto's own personal experience, it's up to other people to make their own experiences into something if they want. I have no doubt that some female out there (or guy, whoever) that wants to make a female legendary hero of light and justice that destroys evil with her blade of evil's bane everyone will play it and possibly like it without reservations about (female lead characters) as that other video demonstrates, such characters have been around for quite some time.

I don't see why not? The Legend of Zelda has always been maybe the most universally loved nintendo franchise outside of Mario - growing up nobody thought twice about who the gender of the hero was. Since Link was always a reincarnation, there's really nothing holding them back.

Except the fact that he's always a male.
