If Link is female then who is Zelda?

Which brings up the question of why not have a game where you play as Zelda instead of changing Link.

Nah, if you change one, you have to change the others for equality. Link is female, Zelda becomes male.

In that case, I definitely wouldn't support a female Link. I like Zelda as is, I don't think she needs to change.

 

Though to be honest a male Zelda in a game would be a bit entertaining just for the blowback;I'm sure it'd draw out the crazies using all the buzzwords. Then when someone says, "So changing Link from male to female was cool but Zelda from female to male isn't?" the internet blows up into all the arguing people like to do these days with the trolls taking advantage of both sides.

Simple. No need to change anything, you open up a choice, you allow for two paths of play, and everyone wins.

Huh, definitely a different mindset then I'm use to with Zelda games but eh why not. Definitely could be interesting if done well.

Aye. You have completely different levels unique to each of their paths, with some being visitable by both. The characters cross paths a few times, which behaves differently based on who you're playing(since you have a different perspective and actually have control over whatever character you're playing as).

 

Link approaches combat and travel differently than Zelda;each with different ways of going through levels and reaching the hard to reach areas. Etc etc.

 

I wouldn't be able to play the game as I only game on an Xbox One these days, but I think that'd be a solid framework for a fresh game in Zelda's franchise. And by game, I mean a full game on a home console, not a mobile.

Of course I am aware that there are people saying they don't mind female protagonists and wouldn't mind a female Link, I am also aware that there are people who don't like the idea of a female Link however are able to express their preferences in a civil and constructive manner, however those people seem to be drowned out by all the mudslinging, Ad-Hominem attacks, derailment attempts, dank memes and strawman arguments from other posters (such as yourself) in this thread, to claim not to see these posts is just rampant dishonesty on your part and there is no point arguing with somebody who will make up bullshit from thin air to support their argument.

 

That said now that the mods have stepped in and even though they did a fairly rubbish job of cleaning up the spam the thread has gotten somewhat back on track, since you have nothing of value to add to the thread and have no wish to engage in the discussion at hand then I would ask you to kindly bugger off.

Word of advice from a forum vet;if you believe people are messing with you and trying to derail or aren't interested in discussion, what you should do is keep on topic and not continuously quote those people, keeping that conversation going. And side note, they(folks in this thread you're talking to) are all actually interested in discussion, which is why they're participating in it when its actually on the subject of how a female Link would work next to a male Zelda, or if Zelda was instead playable rather than introducing a gender-swapped Link.
