In animations and CGI, real-world resemblance is nothing new and BioWare has certainly used it before, at least in the ME series.

I wonder what you have found in DAI so far, since I could not find this in trivia anywhere.

 

In my experience with DAI, I think

Varric starts to look like his voice actor;

Cassandra seriously resembles Lucy Liu;

and I have been told that Loghain kind of looks like William Dafoe.

 

Slightly off-topic, but Cullen in DA2 always reminds me of Paul Walker for some reason.

 

Would you agree, or have something to add? I am quite curious in this topic.

Everything? But if I have to elaborate, I would say it is mostly the cheekbones and jaws.

 

OK, I will admit that the shape of the eyes does not line up perfectly, but pretty much everything else I think.

It has been suggested that Sera looks like Dutch model Daphne Groeneveld.

Wow. I do see the resemblance between Sera and Daphne Groeneveld.

 

Also, what's with BioWare and Dutch models? First Mark Vanderloo and now this?

 

Not that I am complaining, but it does beg the question. And I wonder if there are other toons that are based on Dutch models.

This went in a different direction than I thought. I expected this to be about Inquisitor twins separated at birth.

 

I spent a long time, at least 30 minutes, in the character creator for my first playthrough. Thought I came up with a very unique looking Trevelyan fem.

 

A few weeks later, I watched a Youtube video that featured the twin of my Inquisitor! Same hair style and color, same facial structure, same complexion! Only thing different was that the twin didn't have a wannabe vallaslin. I knew I was going for a romance with Sera and thought an elfaphile human fem that knew everything there was (for a human) to know about the Dalish would impress the hell out of her -- boy, was I surprised!

Sure, their jawlines look similar, but unless you ignore every single other facial feature between the two of them, Lucy Liu and Cassandra look nothing alike, aside from having black hair and strong jawlines.
