And we'll probably be getting Ogres! CA has commented that they "hope" to include all factions at one point (at least the listed armies).
I'm guessing that, if each of the three Total War titles gets four factions, they'll release the remaining ones as DLC. And unlike for Rome 2 or Attila, it won't feel like greedy piecemealing.
This makes me curious. They confirmed minor unplayable factions but how much depth will they get? Will they also see some releases as DLC? Given that the Celtic and Viking factions weren't that active in the time of Attila, in real life history, that seems likely.

... ironically enough this game maybe the only reason to buy new PC for me.
because as it turned out, PS4 covered all bases for me.
It's no gameplay trailer but it's better than nothing. Maybe it will be a series. The actual in-engine trailer will be Friday.
WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW
In-engine trailer featuring Karl Franz.
Looks like we'll be getting actual gameplay a la Rome 2's Teutoburg Forest on the 30th.
huh, I always thought Karl Franz would have a german accent.

It's kind of weird, since the announcement trailer guy had one.
My first thought watching the walkthrough:
Sweet Mary Mother of God that looks awesome! ![]()
My second thought watching the walkthrough:
I don't think my computer could handle this even at the lowest settings. ![]()
One part of me really likes that you can first person guide those ork "missiles"
Another part of me knows I'm never going to use that mechanic because whenever I pay attention to a single unit for longer than 20 seconds, I'll zoom out and find out half my army's been devastated by an enemy flanking manoeuvre.

Same. It's a real power trip to shred through an army with a Gatling but it fades once you realize it's the only unit left.
Plus, it's going to get real annoying when multiplayer matches turn into "Total War: Angry Birds". So many generals lost...

I thought the same thing. Hell, even when just zooming in on a particular part of the battlefield I can get distracted and fail to keep an eye on the whole thing. Still cool that it can be done, but probably something to try once.
I'm digging the animations on various monsters. Even the Demigryphs looked quite nice.
It's obviously still a work in progress, but I'm actually more excited this way. Rome 2 had trailers that promised an epic game and that fizzled a lot. Hopefully CA has learned to temper expectations.
And yeah, I sincerely hope this game is less hungry than other Total War titles, because while I can play most games at decent setting,s these massive battlefields full of big monsters must epically tank one's framerate.
Its looking pretty good, all in all. Bottom line is, it should turn out better than the current state of the tabletop.
Though one of those things is admittedly a lot easier to do then the other.
Underground levels confirmed? Guess we'll be getting Skaven after all.
