Basically, lets say i have Solas in my group, and he has the passive ability Rejuvenating Barrier.

I am a KE, so if i get my own barrier, will his passive affect it, or will it only work from the barrier he casts on me?

And if thats the case, if i was to attack someone and add on to that said barrier, would it count as being overwritten, or will the bonus still apply?

It only works on the mage who has the passive.

Rejuvenating Barrier

  • [Bug? - Patch 5] Only applies the stamina/mana regeneration bonus to self. The bonus is applied when any barrier is active on self, no matter who applied the barrier.

If a mage has the passive Rejuvenating barrier, it will refresh the barrier for them each time they do damage no matter who casts the barrier initially.  If a mage that has rejuvenating barrier casts a barrier, the rejuvenation effect only works for them, it does not reinforce the barriers around any other party members that do not have Rejuvenating barrier as a passive.  The damage you do only helps to reinforce your own individual barrier.  But if another party member has the passive and starts doing damage they can reinforce the barrier you cast with it.

Hopefully that makes sense.

I am sorry for bringing this back, but can someone clarify, does rejuvenating barrier work for barrier from fade shield or not? It seems that this is only skill from all spirit tree that my KE is interested in. But to spend on it 4 skill ponts i must know for shure.

thx.

It does. A Barrier is a Barrier regardless of if it comes from the actual spell or from the KE passive.

I'm in a similar predicament. I want Rejuvenating Barrier, and I know for a fact that it's worth it, but I'm not sure if taking Peaceful Aura is good for a Knight Enchanter.

I dont think its bad, if you play with your party then you have a tank who draw all aggro and gather most of enemies around him, so your KE knows where to look. Another point is - your KE deals much more damage than all your other teammates, so his threat generation will be very high even with peaceful aura.

Not really.  The passive was broken in 1.05, and even if you had a barrier, you needed the regen passive for it to work.  But 1.10 (or was it 1.09...???) fixed the issue and now you get the mana regen as long as you have barrier if someone else in your group has the passive.  Same with mana surge causing an AoE freeze.

This.  Even with peaceful aura, I find plenty of enemies beeline to my KEs because they are beasts dealing all kinds of critical hits (especially with the Wrath of Lovias staff).

Just did some testing, and having Dorian with Rej. barrier in my party does nothing to regen speed of fade shield barrier. The KE's own Rej. barrier works fine.

Yeah, seems so. :) I meant "speed of regeneration of a barrier, generated by fade shield".
