It's a bit annoying but I made sure to make my elf's ears as small as possible so it doesn't pop out through my female elf's long hair (it always looks ugly when it does.) and of course....her right ear pops out through her hair during cutscenes but not through in game play.

So does Elf ears no matter how small you make them , always pop through long hair during cut scenes?

Elves need to elven.

So the knife ears remain.

yep, pretty much, I hate that too. But it also depends on what face structure you select in CC, since there is no independent slider for ear type, and some of them are shorter, so if you set the sliders to small it does seem to solve the problem. At least for me.

They pop through helmets as well. Seriously how sharp those ears are? You could stab someone with them!

I mean if you don't want to look like an elf, don't play an elf, honestly.

It's not really about the ears being pointy. It's the clipping through the hair that's the issue.

Also, to OP: I think this thread is better suited for the character creator forum.

Well, it would be weird if it DIDN'T poke through her hair.

Besides, be proud of those ears. They're the main physical feature on an elf.

Ears going through the hair isn't really an issue, is what I'm trying to say. That's just how elves are and have always been. It's logically the only way the ears would work.

Yeah I noticed that however I wanted some quick answers so I put it on here. (sorry but if I put it on the CC side it does take a while for some replys)

Just so annoying the right ear clips through her hair like that. Pointy ears and all I know , it just doesn't look that pretty too look at.

I actually RP that my elves have larger ears than typical, rather.  I really, really want them noticed, shrug.  Although most of the hairstyles I pick don't have clipping issues, either.  I usually pick the shorter styles, anyway.  But the one Lavellan I created who used the half-braided, half long hair style I did have some problems with, until I moved his ears further down the side of his head slightly.  That greatly reduced the clipping.

Here he is:
