I recently unlocked the EDI infitrator character and had encountered her a few times before and was always impressed by how effective she seemed to be. I was playing silver on one mission where we all kept getting wiped out and this one guy pretty much solo'd the map no problem, but I just don't get how this character works. I have a long way to go so don't have the amazing equipment like the upgraded striker the guy was using I think, but I have seen people dancing through the Thessia level giving off freezing bursts every couple of seconds and anhilating everything. Whats the key to this character and what exactly is the best way of using that repair matrix ability?
EDI build?

from what I learned on BSN lately you don't need to spec in snap freeze.

Don't be so impressed with her, because a good player can annihilate everything with almost all kits. She is, however, very easy to play because you can die and get revived for free.
I'd advise you to learn how to properly play using other classes, so you get used on not dying, instead of simply getting revived.
That being said, I use this build.

Learn her on a skill level you're comfortable with. When things become easy, take the step to the next difficulty. This is a fantastic way to slowly break into gold/platinum before trying those difficulties with squishier characters.
I recommend 66660 or put 5 in snap freeze and 3 in fitness. Take speed and duration for repair matrix. Take range for snap freeze. Quality shotguns are your friend. Claymore, Crusader, Claymoar, Wraith, Claymoar, Pirahna, Raider, Claymoar. Reegar left off on purpose. To me, it's the Lebron James of shotguns. I love to hate on it.
Shock Trooper mod is ideal
Incendiary ammo if you want close up explosions, I prefer AP rounds. Cloak, shoot, snap cheese. Try and limit despair matrix use to when you're feeling the heat, or completing objectives. Keep your grenade spamming teammates supplied by not bleeding the ammo boxes unless necessary.

This is what I use.....http://kalence.drupa...!13N53383!GB4AB
Gives the best of everything..Weapon mods are preference...I like Warp ammo
cuz Snap Cheese is bugged...I know you can go for a full melee/weapons build (which I do use as well) but to get the best out of everything she has to offer...Cloak gives you that melee bonus so you are still one hit killing mooks/most shielded level 2 units...Collector Captains/Centurions get upper cutted and if they survive it take a Raider shot to the face..Snap Cheeze synergizes with everything..If I know everyone will be detonating ever time I use it, I turn down the volume (does get annoying) Plus my build Does Not hog grenades...If you are using Repair Matrix combined with Geth Scanner, you really shouldnt have to use it that often

Personally I don't think you need Rank 6 Repair Matrix, or Ranks 4-6 Fitness. Snap Freeze is a great debuff, it's nonsensical to skip it.

The main problem I have with Repair Matrix is that, generally speaking, if I'm going to go down? Chance are, I DIDN'T know it was going to happen beforehand. Otherwise i'd have, y'know, done something about it.

The damage you can do in a single shot with this build is laughable. As for Repair Matrix, try to use it uppermost to recover your shields, so don't hesitate to use 2 RM in a row if needed. The less you go down, the better it is (well, that's pretty obvious).

Use snap freeze to hide the claymore reloads. Repair matrix for emergency teammate revives and such.

That's what I use, apart from taking 4a in Passives, and I'll use any or all of the Shotguns, but the Graal is great. It's a real fun build, and her melee is one of the best in the game.

I am going to give you the typical butthurt BSN answer.
Wahh don't play her cuz she is OP and ruins the game WAHHHH only I am allowed to play OP things WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH like grenades with grenade capacity V WAHH or use geth scanner and see all the enemies that my teammates cant see, wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Real answer, I used to run a no fitness on her, but after trying her with no snap freeze I think it is a better way to go. Claymore, Raider, Wraith, Reegar. Any good shotgun and youll be good to go

Admittedly, I'm currently running a 66666 build with melee synergy. SO much fun with Claymoar uppercuts. Bring the flames. I've confessed.
Out of pure vindictive policy, I ensure all my DLC characters are max power builds. It doesn't seem to make a big difference performance-wise, but it does allow for more versatile builds -- and therefore fewer Respec cards used.
So I'm accepting it as partial repayment for endless lolstore BS.

For non-melee builds, there are really just three essential powers to max, always.
1. Tac Cloak: She's the only infiltrator to get a bonus to Shotguns. Why wouldn't you?
2. Passives: Gotta max dat weapon damage
3. Toe: Even though you can't see it from your angle, this is a team game. I always spec 6 ranks into toe resolution. For the team, my friend. For the team. Oh, and there are some death animations which really capitalize on this feature.

Adjust your playstyle. The AIU has one primary objective: beat the pugs to the ammo boxes. Take as much movement speed bonus as you can. Equip an incendiary ammo Reegar, and keep Repair Matrix active ALL THE TIME. This will help you get to that next ammo box faster, to grab all those juicy GrenadesRepair Matrices before the other players even have a chance.
The incendiary ammo Reegar is used only to clear you a path from one ammo box to the next. Any enemies you kill are incidental, and second to your primary objective. You should always be planning ahead; it helps to draw some maps on a notebook to plot the shortest route when you make your ammo box circuit. Many maps, however, are pretty straightforward.
Make sure you are walking off ladders sideways instead of forwards, as this will decrease your travel time considerably.
Now you are the best AIU.

I play my EDI this way. In this case, since rank 6 TC allows a shotgun damage boost, I leveled that and Unshackled to get the full weapon bonus. Maxed Repair Matrix for synchs and she’s pretty survivable, if not damage-dealing due to the TC and Unshackled boosts. I left Snap Freeze at distance to help with combos and she has decent health. I don’t play her often, but when I do, this is my jam. Swap out the Wraith for Crusader if you want to shotgun-snipe!

I have a specific melee build, but that one I posted is cheezy as hell.
