I'm glad I watched this show, partly because it wasn't high on my list of shows I should watch. But after hearing the praise that the show got, I decided to check it out and was not disappointed. Daredevil's first season was Marvel's successful foray into the grittiness of their universe. It didn't come off as being needlessly grimdark. Both the title character and his enemy, Wilson Fisk, were great characters, along with Stick, Foggy, Wesley, and so on. The action was incredibly great, example being the hallway fight scene (anyone that has watched this show ill know what I'm talking about). The dialogue was well-done without having to rely on any "forced witty banter" or anything like that. There is humor, but it's done more sparingly, and when in the moments when it is done, it can be quite funny.

 

Couldn't help but chuckle at Mr. Fisk's comment on the Internet.

 

 

Recommend this to anyone that's not just looking for a good superhero show to watch but a good show in general.

Yeah, but I was really impressed with the show and thought it deserved it's own thread.

The whole reason I made the Marvel thread was so there isn't a bunch of threads about Marvel stuff. Keep it contained for efficiencies sake.

Hell there's 2 Star Wars threads on the front page that don't really need to be there.

 

Not saying you can't do this.

 

But it does kinda undermine my intentions

To be fair to Ben Affleck when he wasn't wearing the mask he had that blank stare that really did make him look blind. The actor in this doesn't really portray it very well unless he has his white stick and sunglasses.

Not to bad a series though on episode four and I'm enjoying it.
