Here's a picture of the problem, for reference
Not the best angle, though.
Not to say that doesn't look ridiculous, but am I the only one who knows lots of women with that kind of posture?

i saw picture, but im just having a hard time visually putting it all together? I admit i usually cut the human playthroughs short, because they're boring but i've never seen that, so a video does a better job of displaying it for me, i mean all i know is it happened in your PJ's.
Well, I don't know of a specific video that has it (try looking for Dorian's quest as I always get it there), but are you not believing it's a thing? That everyone here is conspiring for some reason? That's what I get from your line "i mean all i know is it happened in your PJ's." It implies you don't believe it happens in other cutscenes for some reason.
Necro-ing the thread because I just noticed this is not a quizie exclusive issue ![]()
Be careful with the screenshots amongst other things or request the thread be moved - you are in the No Spoilers section and that still applies no matter how long the game has been out.

Sorry about that

Bioware cant do female right. A fact that I have learnt to accept.
They either look too crazy... or too lousy.

Unless EA hands them a generous budget for their next game to improve their motion capture, I don't see them changing it anytime soon.
Another option is to license some mo-cap from other game companies, but they'd have to be willing to license it in the first place... and EA has to be willing to fork over the cash as well (although if they did, it could benefit all of their studios).

Your point is valid for some things, but not this I don't think. With this specific issue, it's random and sometimes you'll be hunched over (and NPCs too, apparently) and sometimes you won't be. So it's more akin to a glitch, and they could fix this with a patch, conceivably.
I'm a female human and I can't fix my body posture. I basically walk and sit like that too. XD
Haha I know what you mean. At least when I see my Quizzy like that it makes me sit up straight! ![]()
I know right? Well at least they fixed the walking animation since DA2. Those hips don't lie man.

It's still pretty sway-y, but yeah, at least it's not DA2.
I cringe every time I see my character manspreading and hulking-hunching and duckwalking. There was a scene in Orlais which was also particularly horrifying to a person who is graceful in real life. However, I also hate the exaggerated hip sway so commonly used for female characters - I'd prefer neutral animations over that.
Does anyone else think the way the advisors walk as into the war room is hilarious? Sera's been pranking their pants.
Be it in cutscenes or close-up cinematic dialogs I can't help notice my human female Inquisitor hunched while walking. Also, she walks like an ape with legs spread too wide and both arms slouch forward; really painful to watch it
Will Bioware fix it or is it something that takes a miracle to do?
Old thread, but I agree with the OP. It's one of my issues even with Cassandra. She walks like an ape, which is immersion ruining because no matter what she's saying to me, all I can focus on is her simian walk.
The female character models really got the shaft. Even when they're standing still, they look like their asses are sticking out and they're hunched forward. Remind me of minotaurs.
I've watched a female character go from the "hunched man walk" to the feminine animation in the same cutscene. Talk about jarring.
Here I thought the ME2 "gorilla stomp" was bad. I look at my character and my back aches from watching that hunched over posture.
I've also noticed that all the women in the game seem to have Kim Kardassian's ass. When they're standing still, if you move the camera around so you see them from the side, it's like their ass is stuck way out. It's like the animators couldn't properly make them stand with their legs straight, so their posture always looks as though their legs are bent and they're striding forward (even when they're standing still).
Is this a problem for female qunari? I haven't noticed any problems with her animations in cutscenes. Unless her being a big intimidating qunari who's more built stronger than most human men makes me less bothered by masculine animations, which means I don't really notice it...

I made a Qunari yesterday and agree with you: the animations don't look so weird because she's huge and has bulging muscles. When you put those same animations on an elf, they look ridiculous. Sweaty armpits, armor pinches in odd places, just stepped in some gore, etc.
Sure they will, right after they implement a proper PC keyboard UI.
In other words, don't hold your breath

Most men don't walk like that either.
