DA:I is a pretty decent hack and slash RPG.

I like hack and slash games and multi-player in DA:I is really fun. Its just that the 3 maps are small and get boring fast. I wish MP had maps like single player and together we could run all over Thedas. Honestly if DA:I played like borderlands where other people could join your single player game it would be pretty epic.

This DA series devolved to appeal to the instant gratification types.

MP gets boring because the players quickly run through the initial maps in a month or so then get bored. To keep them interested and have them execute micro$transactions, Bio needs to add "fresh" content, which takes time, money and resources to do.  Otherwise, these types leave to play something else.

It seems that you encountered little to no problems with the game. Count yourself lucky. Some of us went through hell to attempt to play this game.

I've always thought Elder Scrolls series was boring and ugly in general

Come at me bro :)

Yeah, but the mods changed all of that: LOL

Skyrim's main story line can be completed in 4 hours,

I would REALLY like to watch you do this :)

Anyway, both games (Skyrim and DA:I) have their goods and bads. Now if a gaming developer could leverage the goods from these 2 games and enhance them further, that game would most likely be golden

When I pay 69$ for a game marketed as a "PC game for PC gamers made by PC gamers" and that Bio went back to "its roots" = RPG then I expect more than 8 slots = console controller limit.  The above statement was made by the Bioware studio's Creative Director Mike Laidlaw.

If that's what Mike Laidlaw said, he doesn't know much about his own series. I had lots of fun using all of my abilities on my 360 playing DA:O/2. I must live in some crazy alternate universe or something...

That is what Mike Laidlaw said. He said all kinds of other things too. Seems like in Mike Laidlaws head things he says magically turn to be true, no matter what the reality is. So obviously he has an ability to live in two realitys, one in his head and one where he walks. I could say something really ugly about it but I'm too polite to do it. I wish he would be polite enough to stop spewing PR-lies as he is a Lead Director and we tend to believe what he says. Though I don't believe a word that pathological lier lets out of his pie hole anymore.

That's really sad. Really Mike? I'm even more disappointed than usual with their PR. This (and every other comment they've made like it) irks me. It's just groan/sigh/facepalm-worthy. <_< Grrr.

i think they add new classes. it's cheaper than adding new content and works for some people. not sure if they add cosmetic stuff, but it seems natural for microtransaction-based f2p model.

new class brings new equipment & loot tables which is more RNG (or $). brilliant idea from business PoV... and disgusting for me.
