I'd like to see this guy from the comics end up as a squadmate in the next game:

 

 

He was basically the Gregor Clegane of Salarians. Not as far as personality goes, but for being freakishly large. He is the complete opposite of most Salarian characters you meet in the series. Rather than being the brain, he's the muscle.

Tazik his name was, I believe. He was kinda cool, if nothing else because I love the counter to stereotypes, cliches and tropes and he was as much of counter as you could get I would approve of having him on squad, though I imagine he'd be much like Belkar of OoTS fame. Loose cannon at his best, a danger to everybody around him at worst.

 

As for on topic, no secret here. Liara and Wrex/Grunt are pretty much the only ones of Shepard squadies that have potential of appearing again. IF the new game is being set in Andromeda, as opposed to Milky way, as I hear, that's right out of airlock. I guess Samara could be too, but given her implied age, I'm going to guess she's dead by the ME:N.

 

I'd like to see more Liara. There can never be too much Liara

If the ark or whatever leaves before the Crucible fires its beam of whatever, T'soni would not be on it since how would you explain her being on the Normandy for the memorial scene. Wrex could be dead and he was on Earth when the crucible fired. Grunt could be dead or never let out the tank. So those 3 wouldn't be in the next game

You know, I would laugh really hard if the council would show up because they were evacuated to the Ark ship before the Citadel was captured by the reapers.

 

Would be great if they tried to take a leadership role on the new community and we get to take them down and put someone competent in their place.

 

Also yea, Tazik was one of the few characters from the comics who was actually kinda cool. Wouldn't mind him being around.

Just as long as it isn't human.

 

I mean, sure, the Council was pretty incompetent, all things considered. Yeah, it was because Shepard needed to shine... but never mind that!

 

At least they didn't almost give control of Citadel over to Cerberus/Reapers, as certain incompetent/dirty human councilor did

Mike Gamble said something about this at a conference: "You may see some of the old alongside the new." Putting this statement side by side with the timeline and this supposed survey leak, I was thinking about the ark/expedition to Andromeda and when would it leave and who could be aboard.

 

1) Before ME3 - does not make much sense. According to the leak this is a major expedition, we would have heard about it. And if it was secret then none of the well known NPC's would be aboard, they are all part of the trilogy doing their thing.

 

2) In ME3's timeline - near the end pretty much everyone was a war asset. All the major players were fighting in Priority: Earth either part of Hammer, Sword, Shield or the Crucible itself. The Citadel was also involved, not sure what NPC's managed to escape when the Reapers took it. This does not let many known people free to be on the Ark. The council if they escaped? Aria T'Loak? I don't see her leaving Omega or she could still be on the Citadel.

 

3) Post ME3 - I guess anyone who survived the war could be in on some kind of expedition. But what would be the point? Less then 1% of the Milky Way was explored. There is rebuilding to be done, tons of stuff to do here why go to another galaxy?

 

So this points to:

 

1) leak is fake or seriously outdated info. (some early concept maybe?)

 

or

 

2) we won't see any trilogy NPC's. Well, not anyone important anyway.
