I do miss the level of involvement that we saw on the ME3 boards.  I even sent the ME3 guys pumpkin cupcakes because the pumpkin thing in game was awesome.  Pumpkins for everyone.

Is this a new policy to engage a little less?

There was involement, then there was drama between you know who and you know who, then silence, then some mayor involement and now silence again.

Several of the devs have said they can only do one social media, which for them is Twitter.

So give that a try.

You'll never need to go through the trouble of removing your foot from your mouth if you don't get it stuck there in the first place

I don't remember Bioware being terribly involved on the ME3 boards...Eric Fagnan posting balance changes doesn't count.

Blair, Billy and Graham pop in from time to time.

I think things are better than they were in December when things were really quiet (and occasionally difficult).

'Developer DLC' has never been a formal offering, even in the days of Eric and BroJo...  ;)

And there's the weekly Twitch stream which wasn't available with MEMP.

Twitch is nice, but I think it feels like its more like watching your grandma trying to open Microsoft word than getting developer interaction. They only ever pick out superficial questions from the chat and then always have to shirk off any questions about things anyone could be interested in. They just all seem to move very slowly. It doesn't take long to get sick of the limited content and people just want Bioware to throw them a bone.

I will give them props, they seem to jump right on anything that someone points out as a bug. Whether it gets fixed right away is a matter of resources, it seems like they at least acknowledge it right away.

They can't answer the 54 versions of 'when is DLC' of course...

I like having Twitch as a connection even if it is controlled.

I remember when the key glitch was at its peak and Blair asked which class to go with, and the stream went:

'Elementalist', 'Elementalist', 'Elementalist', 'Elementalist', 'Elementalist', 'Elementalist' !!

(he chose another class  :P )

They were.  Not talking about the balance changes.  Have a look at the boards and sort by hot threads -- most have bioware emblems.  I'm bad at names but there was Bryan and quite a number of others.

Some of em try, but it's too little too late. We had to nearly burn this place down to get any kind of interaction going. And yes, everything about the support for ME3 was far, far superior. Infinitely.

In ME3, considering that Brojo was on my friend's list and we played a couple of times as well as the fact I came across Bioware Banner users while pugging, I can only say that the level of interaction between devs and the general public was different, very different.

You know, i´m not surprised about it .... in the beginning when there were soooooo many bugs, ppls were so angry. if a dev had appeared, there were thousand swords ready to cut his/her head. Now its an another question - the player base is small, is there still a reason for a dev to be here? I´m more then sure they moved to another project already.

Bioware forums don't have a great reputation. So most of the Bioware developers don't visit.

Yes and no. There were always folk grumbling about stuff, but the unpleasant passive aggressive is worse than ever in my opinion.

Thats not only your opinion. But to tell the truth errors were made by both sides. Devs underestimated MP support and ppls in forum community were very aggressive (for example penguin x amelia affair). The question remains if MP can be saved atm...

I've worked hard to increase developer interaction since joining the MP team.  More forum activity as well as other avenues to interact.

Twitch is there to chat when we're on, twitter is also a very active place to talk with devs.  The reason twitter is used more than the forums for developers is that its quick.  Someone can shoot me a message, and I can respond almost instantly while i'm walking to the next meeting.

We're being as open as we can about things,  loot, balance, dlc, etc.

But I think the main thing people are confusing, and why there is about one of these threads a week is that, people say they want "Developer interaction" but what they are really asking for is "tell me about DLC, or X feature I want."

Which we usually can't.

Some us understand that u can´t speak about DLC´s, but it would be nice to see more BW posts an answers on the forum:-) I´m looking forward for next DLC, but i think that mending some bugs and mainly to do something with the matchmaking should be a priority now:-( but in any case, i´m glad you joined us:-)

Most of our worries are for the actual state of MP than the future contents we may get. We have lot of problem with the bugs crawling our games that it doesn't matter if we get 4 maps 10 Kits or x quantity of items, it will be like throwing clean water into a dirty river.

We want to know if the Development come and see our worries and  concerns, and if they take note on them and plan to work and fix them, as same time of getting the ideas of content that should increase the game replayability. We don't want someone in the forums daily telling us the daily schedule of the Dev team... We want to know if our concerns are being heard at least.

We are now like waiting for a GOD that probably wouldn't even exist, with the promise of holy land some day (DLC), i don't care much for future promises, what has to come will come, but we need to fix the present's problems, and i don't think that most of these could take a huge amount of work to solve, because in other games its working fine.

Thats all for now, have to go home for my second job, trying to find a Lobby, if there is still ppl around.  Fiddzz, thanks for reading us!

Yep, absolutely seen that :). One sign of that is that when you first did it I remember seeing your post getting immediately dog piled, which happens less now, i.e. it's more normalised. It's also nice when Graham pops in with a technical thought.
