Thanks, Fiddz. I was thinking of the more social stuff actually. Or the occasional insight to existing mechanics. The aggro thread is a good example. A lot of us enjoy that level of understanding. A real conversation exploring such things is impossible on twitter. Also, did you respond for cupcakes?
This is a good suggestion.
There are many interesting things about DAMP that might not be controversial.
Perhaps for the Friday Twitch - as questions on the stream are quite random.
For example, I always wondered who the VAs are for the 12 DAMP characters.
They are probably listed in the credits under 'other voices' but I think they do a great job.
Unless there's some rule that says a VA with a 'named character' gets paid more ! ![]()

I do patrol this forum for bugs or pain points, (without going into too much detail of my day to day work)... those get put into our backlog (big list of things to do), which gets prioritized (based on our goals, consumer wants, etc), then worked on.

...
we need to fix the present's problems, and i don't think that most of these could take a huge amount of work to solve, because in other games its working fine.
...
The lag problem is fundamental and probably can't be fixed without rewriting half of the game code. When you start making a multiplayer game you design a model for the networking, and then build the rest of the game on top of that. Perhaps some improvements can be made fairly easily but realistically I don't think we're ever going to be able to play with people around the world like we can in ME3, unless a decision is made that supporting damp far beyond mass effect is going to be financially beneficial to EA/Bioware.

In all truth, on future games, as a gamer, we don't need dlc, promised fixes or whatever. Interaction is more that you're playing the game, you're finding frustration or entertainment with the same things in the game.
It's also important that you admit geth stunlock is horrible, ha ha.

Truth be told, from a customer's point of view (fan boys/girls please calm down, this is just my opinion), bioware has lost all enthusiasm to DAMP. It seems that they are just ticking off some checkboxes out of contractual obligation.
Weekly list of work for DA community liaison at bioware:
Two posts on BSN per week - tick
Interaction with customers via twitch - tick
Keep telling the customers about upcoming contents without actually revealing anything - tick
Keeping ea overlord happy - MASSIVE TICK

It's also nice when Graham pops in with a technical thought.
I do try to comment specifically on issues that I can directly affect, or am responsible for.
However I will admit that I regularly (every few hours) view topics on the front page of the MP Combat forum. I have done this since before launch.

Can you comment on the exploding mushrooms?

While we're at it, do we have an answer about the reason we get thrown into lobbies on our own when we search for a quick match?

Lol good luck get an answer for that, I asked the same question and was told that it was being looked at...Several months on and still no answer.

Its quite frankly insulting that you suggest were just looking for new functionality/DLC when this clearly isnt the case.

Why should we have to go onto Twitch or Twitter to interact with a Dev? What is the point of this forum then? Fiddzz you said we confuse dev interaction with wanting new DLC/Functionality. Thats complete nonsense and is an insult to members of the community. So many posters (myself included) have requested dev interaction to notify them about our issues/ concerns as well as any bugs we come accross. Kenny asked you a sensible question about the matchmaking isolating players by putting them in their own lobby. I raised this same point months ago and I believe it was you who said that this would be passed onto the devs to look at. Still have no answer?

I would prefer more developer involvement in making new content and fixing matchmaking.

I am pretty sure that the reason why he said he would pass it on to have someone look at it was so that you would stop bugging him... Saddy, it is so easy to see that most of what bioware is doing now is purely PR bs.
Action speaks louder than word, bioware, so instead of just saying you are busy working on new content, you need to let us know what you are actually working on. Otherwise I would just assume that you are working on adding new content to your curriculum vitae.

I would go as far as to suggest that they deliberately left out information in the last patch notes so that they could then come and claim to have made a mistake by leaving it out and then be seen to be acknowledging that they made a mistake.
But I do think it would be better to just post once a week in a locked thread about what seriously is being worked on rather than communicate directly with us passive aggressive types.

I like it when devs post, even if it isn't about dlc or when the next patch is coming out. It makes it feel like BW is part of the community, even if aforementioned community likes to rage a lot.
Blair, I'll bring donuts if you give RTC a druffalo instead of a sword.
I can't think of anything more horrifying than RTC riding on his mighty druffalo. I'd never play again ![]()

I think you are confusing 'actions' and 'words'.
An action would be the release of DLC.
Words would be saying or detailing that there is content in progress.
Actions speaking louder than words would be the release of DLC, not talking about in-development DLC.
This is not new, I remember Mark Darrah on a 2012 conference panel explaining that their focus was on doing not on talking about doing.
If you believe any software team is going to provide a blow-by-blow listing of internal development because you (snarkily) ask for it,
I think you will be disappointed, but those are your views I guess ![]()

As Mark noted previously on twitter, they cannot do this due to accounting principles in use by EA, so thats a no go.

That is just your opinion.
This is the difference in perception. Releasing information on what you are working on is an act.
So, istead of you imposing your opinions on others why don't you go and play some DAMP?!

It is. I'm not in a position to impose anything, we have simply shared our views.
