Prevalent opinion here seems to be it's for noobs and don't do it.

So curious what your feelings on it are?

For me I find it fun with the right group on occasion. I find it harder to do (On Platinum) rather than the usual run'n'gun. Have to have enough damage to be capable of staying put. I'd say since it's harder I actually enjoy it more when the group can pull it off well. Typically it winds up being a biotic group. That being said there are a lot of proviso's. Not on big maps. For instance.

I like the outdoors, get a fire going, bring an acoustic guitar. Smores!

Honestly I don't care if people camp, doesn't mean I wont make fun of them

I like to build a big fire when I go camping and listen to the crickets chirp, but otherwise its all run and gun and stay away from campers because they ALWAYS die in the same place and when that happens its dirt nap time for them and they can watch everyone else play

Knowing camp spots on all maps and using them when things get tough is acceptable in my book. Trying to hold them the whole game without moving is not. It's boring and the games take longer.

If I have to, I'll do it, but I'd rather learn to pay close attention to the flow of the waves and adjust for best effect.

I really couldn't see myself judging people who prefer to stay put, if they can make it work.

one of the best is camping at the windows of the Nest on Dagger. Pugs and snipers love to just sit there and get pummeled by :wizard:  range units til they die, then they get rezzed and do it again like that felt good. more cookies please!

Everyone knows the ultimate camping is done with the Demolisher engineer with a sniper outside the map on Hydra

Camping can be fun.

I bring my trusty log to make a nice fire to keep warm, and a girl who can help me pitch a tent.

Honestly I don't really care who camps in ME3 MP, it's a viable strat nonetheless in certain cases such as playing plat on giant with any faction.

Whether or not I camp really depends on the map and the teammates. If they're newbs but they try really hard and work together, I will stick with them and help them out. If they camp and they're like, cain mine spamming jerks, then no, I'm not going to qq in the corner while they nuke everything.

I like how there are different ways to play this game. Camping is godawful misery when done badly, but then so is running and gunning. The abject campers are those who'd rather die where they are than move. Who hasn't seen the Demolisher who puts down their pylon in the LZ on Hydra and refuses to move, and bleeds out (all alone) on every second wave?

But the opposite is possible. Today I had an all-Infiltrator pug game that ended up on Giant and sometime about w4 we all ended up camping the upstairs control room, two up top, two down below. And when we did get overrun, we all split up and kited the enemies elsewhere, then reformed the group either in the ladder room, the LZ, or back in the upper control room. It was pretty enjoyable, especially since all the teamwork was wordless.

Used to hate it. Now I don't mind it every now and then. Just hate that one Giant camp spot because it's so overdone, but I'll still do that spot too sometimes.

I hate even camping hacks with random PUGs    ..It they cant stay alive 2gether for 2 minutes..then why would I hang with them for 1 entire wave?

Did that with my roommates, it's really fun. Wind up doing it with pugs every once in a while but on giant it's usually the LZ.

Got to keep an eye out on the ladder up but other than that it's great line of sights and can keep it fluid, moving back and forth in the room if necessary. The ladder has also proved a good retreat option as well.
