I just traded my ps3 in and upgraded to xbox one. I want to know how well the game runs. On ps3 I froze up often. Can anyone who owns a digital copy of DAI for xbox one please give me as many details as possible on how it runs? bugs or glitches. thanks

Very smooth in my experience. The loading times will probably be better than you're used to, as well as the graphics etc. It only crashed for me a couple of times since release, and not in months. Not a huge amount of bugs anymore. I barely run into any. I have a disc version though, not sure if that makes a difference.
Edit: Sorry, just read that you were asking about the digital copy specifically. I doubt they're terribly different though, since you have to install the disc.

One of the patches caused problems for me with Under Her Skin, as it made my Xbox quit when I entered the mansion, but the next patch fixed that right up.

any problems with MP? It's my favorite part of DAI and it ran very well on ps3.

A little bit with stuttering as you're running in DAMP, though I think that's common across all platforms. The odd dropped connection, though generally only when starting and not mid-session.
The ps3 digital copy don't stutter is this because of the disk maybe?

one trouble spot I encountered several times was in the Western Approach, when the dragon appears for the first time.
Heh, I just had that one three times in a row, until I switched Varric off the party.

I specifically have the digital copy on Xbox One.
Single Player runs pretty much bug free and has since patch 2.
Multiplayer has its periodic connection issues joining lobbies, but the internet is involved there.

I played up untill right before first boss and its pretty amazing how different everything seems. Anyone who says they don't like this game I would first ask them what platform they play on the ps3 and probably 360 did not do this game justice. Grapics and loading/save times is 50 times better. I noticed quite a few differences from the ps3 version. I played the start of the game 20ish time on ps3 so I was able to spot differences easy. Most of it was minor stuff. Xbox1 had more npc's and a few landscape extras. There was a few extra cut scenes that didn't add much. Some of the animations were different like the first monster you fight I don't remember him being knocked into the ground. All in all this version is way smoother and more detailed. I do think its worth getting on a new console. The loading and save times is probably the biggest and best difference my ps3 took like 2 mins to save. I can't wait till I can try out MP, I'm exicited.

My only complaint is ps3 had matches going 24/7. Now its a lot harded to find a game.
