Cabal. Because reasons.

Messing around on kalance I came up with:
Turian Cabal.
Haven't tried it, but could be fun. Biotic Shield->close in->Hurricane spray->ram through with PS (or blades for elites & groups). (Incisor's there more as a joke, just because of the stability bonuses.)

I've spent my fair share with this game. Yet to this day there are still half a dozen kits that I lie awake in a sweat thinking, "How to spec? How to SPEC!?!" Turian Cabal is one such kit. Tried a handful of the suggestions out there, none of them really clicked.

Keeping your CD low, and speccing 6a on Biotic Focus, allows you to keep boosting your Barriers and pretend you are an AIU. You can even use it to gain immunity from an incoming Atlas Missile or Banshee Ball. Duration doesn't matter, take the melee boost.
Poison Strike I usually just stop at 4b. Nightshade Blades I always forget to use, so I have no input on Rank 6. I'd hope they would stagger like Ballistic Blades, if I ever remember to use them I'll get back to you.
I use the Raider Shotgun on her, the Hurricane is lighter though.
Geth Scanner because teleports through walls.

You could try double dash too. Or melee.

(I usually take a Paladin for a lightweight longer range backup on close range kits, but I just wanted to try something ridiculously different this time.)
I actually use Paladin on her.
This is what I use, in case you're interested:
Sometimes, I respec for melee. In that case, I skip ranks 5 and 6 of PS, skip rank 5 in passives and max fitness for melee. Some shotgun with omniblade would be the choice for weapon.

Acolyte + Hurricane combo is the safest bet. Acolyte + PS for fire explosions, NS blades vs group of mooks or dragon+phantom rush, hurricane vs bosses.

Pretty straightforward. Shoot with weapon of choice an use biotic focus to keep your shields up, the stagger everything with nightshade blades. Poison strike for shortcuts and to get out of trouble. My build of choice for platinum.

Primarily a melee build. You only need to activate biotic focus enough to keep it active which frees up more time for poison strike. Not a high scoring build but you'll have a lot of gun once you get used to her heavy melee. I have used this build on platinum, with friends, but I wouldn't want to be carrying with it.

Poison duration on NB? You ought to be ashamed Rusty.

I play off-host mostly, so eventually gave up on PS as it's so frustrating sometimes. Went full melee and have rarely been happier with a build. She can still teleport out of the way in emergencies even without PS. Exploding Blades are reserved for the BatSol.

(Edited as some of it wasn't what I intended originally, I prefer range on her blades)

Cabal is best female.
and I can say that because for once Bioware didn't give a female character boobs.

You're build is terrible.

This is what I use. It's a well rounded build I think. It's lightweight and mobile.

I find it interesting that no one seems to advise taking 6b on Biotic Focus for the extra movement speed. Because whenever movement speed comes up with other characters, everyone is in favor of more speed and getting hit less. I guess I'm asking someone to explain why shields are more important on the Cabal when she so easily gets to 1050 anyway.

I did, though I didn't mention it outside of the build itself. Works significantly better on a melee-focused build imo.

Instant shield recharge is nice and damage immunity for a brief period puts it over the top. She's quick anyways. I do like the movement option but the other is too good IMO to pass up.

My Cabal is specced for 6b currently, it's active almost all the time. I just can't seem to survive/kill as well as with the 6a spec. Perhaps I just need more practice...

As long as you spec Focus and Passive, you should be ok.
The melee build is somewhat fun though.

I run her as a melee/weapon build, which can be quite effective, specially due to the passive that increases weapon damage by 25% after and enemy is killed by melee.
I also try to get a good balance between survivability and damage. Build is here.
Poison strike is not that useful and you may replace it and get a 06666 build instead.

But then you have to leave BF deactivated, and activate it when you realize that you're in the "Oh Hell!" situation. Doesn't that work out like most uses of Repair Matrix, where, half the time you realize you need it, you're down already?

It seems that way to me too. The thing about 6b is that it can be kept active all the time, so it's permanent DR and extra speed. One just reactivates it whenever one is off cooldown.
The trouble is, I'm a total scrub, so what seems to make sense to me is probably completely wrong....

BF last like 20 secs if you have duration specced, if you have a relatively light load out. You can have it active and cooled down for an oh **** situation. If you spam it every time it cools down you might not see the benefit of the 6A evolution though.
