I have a sound problem but im not entirely sure that the game is actually suppose to make this sound well here it is. When ever im walking around i hear Beep sounds and im positive it has something to do with my radar ( bottem right corner. But the problem with the beep sound is that it constantly (every few steps) beeps especially on my ship also the radar blinks so i don't actully see where it is pointing to. Can anyone verify that its suppose to be like this or not.
Thanks

I am having sound issues with the dialogue where it randomly cuts off before the characters finish a sentence. Apparently This problem has also been in the original Mass Effect for the PC. The thing that frustrates me is why they never completely fixed this problem so it would not transfer to the second game? They also need to pay more attention to these support forums to sift out he problems people like you and I have been suffering with. I just want the annoying cut-off dialogue glitch to go away! so i can hear what they are saying!

Do you get the same problem as i do? does your radar go crazy with beep sounds as well? or is that just me

i have to hold the M key in order to use the radar. I don't know why it isn't a single button push?

In my spaceship it beeps every few steps, and the radar blinks rapidly.

They better have either a patch by tomorrow or by the end of this week. I'm not going to wait this long for bugs that should of never carried on from the original. If they don't patch it for a while I might as well return this and opt for the 360 version.

My radar is also beeping like CRAZY.
In some parts of the game it is completely ruining the experience because I'm being spammed with beeps.

I forgot to mention this is an nforce4 audio using realtek a4.06 drivers. I will try updating if newer drivers exist and may try the really old nforce4 drivers if all else fails.

My sound card: SoundMAX Intergrated Digital HD Audio on a crosshait motherboard.

I doubt it has anything to do with that since it is the radar itself popping up, but just to confirm, I had the latest drivers and downgraded to the mobo drivers. No change.

Still beepin. Beep beep. Beep. Varies from once every 10s or so to multiple times a second. Unplayable unless you want to become extremely angry.
And yeah I don't think this is a sound issue. It's not playing randomly. It's a normal sound effect for the radar, and the radar is going NUTS. If I stared at it I could probably induce a seizure, it's flashing on and off so rapidly.

Ugh someone delete this thread. Just noticed the white direction line. Somehow painstakingly crawling over the planet for 10 minutes missed the anomaly too!

I'm having this issue also. I thought at first that my M key was stuck and that was what made the minimap pop on and off over and over...
Changing the hotkey didn't fix the problem, nor did leaving the map hotkey completely blank (unassigned). This glitch is INSANELY irritating...

Just curious, are you guys playing in windowed mode (bordered or borderless) or full screen mode? I'm in borderless windowed mode and I alt-tab a lot. Restarting the computer, not just the game, makes the beeps go away for awhile, but I cannot seem to trigger the problem at will.

I'm getting it too. After one full play thru, I found that it didn't happen at the beginning or end of the game, only in the middle. I'm on my second game and it seemed to start just after Horizon. I'm on Illium now, recruiting Thane, and it's constant. Beep-beep-beep-beep-beep. Grrr...

Found it! If you have an AMD dual core processor, you need to download the AMD Optimizer patch. You can find a link to it on page 4 of this thread: http://social.biowar.../index/810431/4 . As soon as I installed it, no more beeping. (All credit goes to Doktor Weasel, who figured it out and was nice enough to fill everyone else in.)
