Until the Em-Drive has been peer reviewed in a Journal it's snake-oil.

Like the faster than light neutrinos. If bouncing microwaves created a "warp field" then microwaves would have started moving long ago.

Unlike CERN, who often make wild statements about their results on a regular basis, NASA plays such things very close to the vest. I agree that peer review is the next obvious step, but I'd be hesitant to call it snake oil at this point. More just promising.

I am also waiting for peer review or, barring that, the press conference where they say "hey guys, it turns out our team accidentally warped themselves to Mars, so we need some money for a rescue mission pls."

Hopefully without any misogynistic ****lord t-shirts this time.

Otherwise they can just die.

I thought it was a cool shirt.  Maybe a little tacky, but whatever.

I sure as hell wouldn't have apologized for it. If anything, I'd wear it more often.

Considering it's been replicated by multiple labs in 3 countries, there's probably more than snake oil going on.

Still a good time, though.

I was 9 and that movie freaked me the hell out.

Looking back I question my parents' choices leading to me watching it at that age.

as for me, i was already a heavy nightmare fetishist by the time I first watch it. I am old and I know it. I blame my sister and I love her for it. I know I am twisted.

I watched a super low budget movie called Shadowzone about people unleashing monsters from the "other side" the side where you go when you dream.

Spoiler

Lots of gore and nudey bits. Most of the nude bits are people lying inside glass tubes.   Most of the gore isn't that gorey..

NASA recently stated that they have plans to have manned missions to Mars in the 2030s.

Just wondering. Is Mars' surface comprised of sand? I always thought it was strange how it can be so RED.

Nah. Mars' surface is comprised of a CD Projekt.

It's surface is mostly composed of rust, but yes a rocky desert is the most accurate way to describe it, as it doesn't  have enough atmosphere to create sand in the same manner Earth can, more in the same way there is dust on Luna.

R...RUST? So like, if I go around I need a tetanus shot for each time I try to sniff the holy soil? you come in contact.

Or is it different kind of rust. Science-cy like.

Nope, iron-oxide like the rest of it here.

You don't have to have a tetanus shot because the bacteria that causes lockjaw isn't on Mars unless we bring it with us.
