Hey guys, remember that time when scientists claimed they got neutrinos to move faster than light, everyone in the media believed them, and then it turned out they got those results because their instruments weren't plugged in right? This will probably turn out like that. Seriously, most theories I've heard about how to make warp fields require exotic matter with negative mass, which isn't proven to exist.

Just assumed it was a reputable science website and not a... well, I just assumed it was a reputable science website.


So this may be retracted/debunked eventually. To give some background, the story was that this all came to light from an online forum that the NASA scientists conducting the experiment were using and wasn't part of any official news release. I'm thinking there is a definite possibility that this isn't on the level. If it is not, I apologize as the OP.


EDIT: Nevermind, got the link for the forums, it is actual NASA scientists saying this, so I updated the OP.
