The reasoning I'm posting this is beause one of the DLC is super important if you romanced Liara ( I think) in ME1.

I recently donated to the Origin Humble Bundle and I have a steam copy of Mass Effect 2 that I am unsure what to do with. I already own ME2 on Origin and all of my DLC is listed there. I know ME2 came out before Origin popped up, but how was the DLC treated for it? Is all ME2's DLC now only purchasable through Origin and not steam?

A steam reviewer posted from 2014 stated that ME2 still does not require Origin to load it. I'm tempted to redeem this copy on Steam because I prefer all (or most of) my games on Steam, and my only copy of ME1 is there. But if my DLC purchased on the Bioware store sometime ago is only good from Origin, then what is the point? Can anybody provide more information?

the DLC at the time was sold on the BSN site Bioware's social network anjd you just buy download and install like a normal program. The only thing Origin does really is takes the need away from you from having to do that as it all installs automatically if you have it all on Origin aside from that it's the same game. I believe it's still available on the BSN site as that's where I got all of the DLC myself as I usualy play with the old standalone copy rather than the trilogy one. Mostly because it works better for me as I have some cheats that aren't compatible with the trilogy pack version
